For those of you who have experience with attending LSU gymnastics meets. The wife and I are taking our 6 year old daughters to our first Gymnastics meet on Friday. We have GA tickets - How early should we get there to get decent seats? Which are the best GA sections to sit in?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

30 minutes before you'll be fine. There isn't a bad seat in the house honestly.

I would say more like 45 minn to an hour...the crowds get bigger as the year goes on and now with the Pyro and introduction. .....things start 20 min before actual meet starts

Pretty sure I read somewhere that all the 100 and 200 level sections are reserved now for season ticket holders. General admission is the 300 level.

Get in as early as possible as you will be in the 300 level seats. Find seats as low as possible on the sidelines will give you great view of all events.
One end zone will provide good view of bars and floor and other will provide good view of beam and vault.
Not a real bad spot anywhere, but sideline will maximize view.
Took 6 year old two years ago and ignited incredible passion for the sport. She is now on a competitive team and doing well. Hope your daughter is equally impressed. These ladies are tremendous athletes and great role models for these young girls.

There is no bad seat, you will be in the top section but it wont matter. Trying to get in the middle of the floor is the best as far as seeing all events from one seat. However, you always have the option of moving seats as the girls move events. May not be something you want to do with a 6 year old but it may be good for the kid to move around anyway.

Huge crowds since last year make it difficult to move around any more.
