quote:

It would have been an impressive comeback even had LSU not won it, but Miles wanted no part of that.

“This was not a, ‘Boy they came roaring back, but you know what fell a little short,’” Miles said. “No they came roaring back to win. That’s the piece you take — the final score and the very strong need that the team had to have victory. It’s a great day. And I’m going to kiss my wife and spank my kids and have a lot of fun.”

I seem to remember that whenever I got spanked it was never "fun!"

May have been fun for the parent though.

I can see the Gameday sign now...

"Les Miles abuses his kids."

Guilbeaux would get a thrll out of Les betting heat for a comment made in fun. Don't fuel the fire.

Do you really think that if he were to catch some flak over that comment that WE by our comments would bring that upon him?

"kiss my wife and spank my kids and have a lot of fun."

I think he meant "kiss his kids and spank his wife!"

We tried. We were looking," Miles said. "We were searching like people in the audience, people in the stands, people at the grocery store, people that you drop the cleaning off at were saying, 'Try to do this.' So we got Jarrett a break. We put Jordan Jefferson in."

What??

Another Dumb quote by Miles, but not sure why Guilbleaux has been so nice to LSU and Miles after this win.

Guilbleaux seems to love piling on when LSU is doing well, then he backs off when LSU is doing poorly. It's just the opposite of logical.

Did Guilbeau go to LSU? Because if he did, he was probably the person Randy Newman was thinking of when he wrote "College men, from LSU. Went in dumb, come out dumb, too"
