13-5-wrong, 12-6-wrong, 11-7-wrong, 10-8 bingo. Current SEC record after today 11-7. So, LSU’s national runner-up Omaha team was one game worse than this year’s team through 6 series. Chew on that for a while, then you can resuming whining about Mainieri.

I realize I shouldn’t compare, runner-up may be underestimating this team.

This year is actually reminding me a lot of that year. Except when fully healthy this team is more talented

I'm always a believer that the team will get better as the season goes on, though this year is less certain with all of the injuries.

However, while it's nice to make comparisons to great seasons, there is always a reverse comparison that can be made. Like the 2010 team that started 32-6 and 12-3 in SEC, but went 9-16 the rest of the way. Aside from sweeping the SEC tournament that year, it finished horribly. You just never know.

If key guys can get, and stay healthy, this team should be in for a good run.

Just making small talk, I guess. Perfectly relevant to the discussion, but why should that matter, right?

Lol. The same. 11-7 coming off of a series loss to bottom dweller, at the time, Tennessee at home.

Yeah I remember being VERY disappointed in that team before April 15th and then them catching fire down the stretch.
