I remember at the Carolina game there was a rap concert at the State Fair that night...it was a little sketchy.

Really? I'm guessing you won't drive down Florida Blvd either...

if this game was in new orleans, sucky year or not...... LSU would sell 50,000 tix at least if available.

Gtech should be ashamed if it only needs to ask for 2000 more.

all 35,000 or so you say go to home games should be going here too.

we have 93,000, about 65% would still go to game if it was in new orleans......

are you serious? you're not going to go to the peach bowl because there is a rap concert next door? seriously?

The only thing that concerns me is walking back to the hotel after the game. The concert will be letting out at about the same time, although I imagine there will be an increased police presence downtown on New Year's Eve. There always is in major cities.

Guess he doesn't get his Crawfish from Tony's...

ETA: We parked a mile from the stadium in Columbia and walked back more than 45 minutes after the game. There were plenty of people, police included and we never once felt unsafe.

not so sure about that

the LSU turnout last year in the dome for tulane was down right pathetic

this is a better opponant, but don't think it is a give in to pack 50k LSU fans in the dome just because it is in NOLA

That's people who bought tickets directly through Tech.

Honestly think that Tech fans aren't buying tickets from other sources?

I know that I am not buying through the school because they do not need it this year...and I never like the seats that are provided schools by the Chick-fil-A Bowl...too many endzone and corners.
I am buying open market so I can be between the 40's and high enough up to tell what the heck is going on.

I'm sure they are. You guys seem very excited to be playing in this bowl and that's great. The majority of LSU fans are not...and surely you can understand why. I wish more Tiger fans were making the trip, but I don't blame the ones who aren't.

that was b/c it was 11am and benefitted toolame..... alot of people boycotted

if it didnt involve toolame then 50,000 would be a low number.... it would be basicly a scaled down home game

Don't let school's sales indicate how many LSU fans are going to the game.

we were out numbered in 2000 and there were a bunch of empty seats in 2005
