Greg Heiar gets D1 job

Former LSU assistant gambled last year accepting a HC job at a JUCO program that Butch Pierre had recently decimated. Promptly wins JUCO national title. Now he inherits a NM St program that has gone to the NCAAT 3 of the last 4 years.
Undoubtedly he was highly recommended by Chris Jans when he decided to go to State. They have a long history together.

And he left because he knew LSU wasn’t stable. That’s another thing rantards don’t seem to grasp. It’s hard to hire quality Asst Coaches when the HC is under fire. Look no farther than O and his OC/DC hires.
Giving Coach Mac 7+ and Kelly 10 years is by design. It creates STABILITY where quality coach’s won’t be scared of moving again in less than a year
