Same here, though I've probably not been in as many as some of my friends. If you spent any time at LSU and went out to Tigerland, you've seen more fights than you can count and know people who were involved. If you were in a fraternity, multiply that by about 5.

I think only two people I know were actually arrested for simple battery because of being in a fight.

Nah, bar fights are routine, no doubt, but a good number of them end up going to court. Not jail, but plenty of people walking around with assault convictions for similar incidents. Sure many go away, or are released at the scene and never charged, but it's probably 50/50.

Especially if it happens to be caught on tape. You're on tape punching some guy, and the guy ends up with medical bills, even EXTREMELY MINOR BILLS LIKE IN THIS CASE, and charges are likely.

The medical bills and video pretty much guaranteed a charge here.

It's amazing how much hate he has for every cop that doesn't arrest an LSU football player.

We both know why this particular one was on tape when most aren't.

yes, it was a prediction. Which can be and was wrong.

It was my reading of the situation, I never said I wanted Hill gone. We have been over your troubles with reading before, do you need a refresher?

My friends and I had quite a few scraps, in that very parking lot actually

Only one ended up in court, luckily not me, and the other guy in that one had medical bills.

The issue is medical bills. Also video. Also by someone also known to be on probation already at the time of the incident.

Very small percentage of cases in that scenario don't end up in court.

This is not some huge deal. Hill was never going to jail, nor should he. But this was always going to court. Just being fair and calling it the way it is.

Where are reports that Hill's encounter with his classmate was anything less than mutual?

Her being 14 negates anything being mutual by law. She may have well been 6 years old...same standard applies.

But that was a good attempt to justify his criminal behavior...present a scenario that is just as illegal as the alleged complain of him forcing her to perform oral sex. Good job.

No doubt.

But it's surprisingly pretty common nowadays to see total randoms fighting getting caught on tape.

Weird commentary on our society that everyone's first instinct now is to whip out the video phone and record anything remotely out of the ordinary that happens in their presence

Is that why 14 year olds can buy Plan B without their parents permission? Because they can't consent?
