My now-wife (no pics) and I went to the spring game during our last year at LSU. I wasn't big following recruiting at the time and didn't know who the big new names were. But this true freshman (I think an early enrollee) was all over the place. Head and shoulders above the rest just the best player on the field. Making plays every snap.
I said that's the next dude. Babe, that'll be the next great one. Number 9. Grant Delpit.

I threw a lot of expletive around Tiger Stadium for three years watching him play. I have to give credit where it’s due though, he was almost kinda okay his senior year.
