You need to put some shite in perspective.
What the frick does this have to do with WWII?
Also, ever hear of a fricking draft?
It’s not like everyone was in WWII by choice you fricking dipshit. It’s not like all of them were literally choosing between 20 million dollars and fighting Hitler.
Also I don’t think playing in the fricking Fiesta Bowl compares to again FIGHTING HITLER.

As a father he is not only supposed to provide but to be a role model for his kids. What kind of example is he setting when he is saying it is ok to quit on your team.
Here you are again bashing him.
Youre insinuating that he is less of a role model for his daughter because he chose to turn pro before you think he shouldve turned pro.
So as of now youve said.....
-Greedy must have not grown up around high character people because of this decision.
-insinuated that Greedy isnt acting like a man because of this decision.
insinuated that he is less of a role model for his daughter because of this decision
But yeah youre not bashing. Saying someone doesnt have high character, is less of a man , and isnt a good role model for his daughter ISNT BASHING HIM.

Ready to set a downvote record, don’t get a girl knocked up as a student, particularly when you’ve no way of supporting anyone. Stupid, but prevalent ghetto mentality that he is responsible for dragging everyone out of the ghetto, and everyone will be part of the posse.?
Holy shite.

that is probably what affected him and why he became like this. I was just raised differently with different kind of role models and values. W
This decision in no way makes Greedy less of a man, a worse role model, nor is a mark against his character.

Yeah im sure you dont limit risk in your life when it comes to providing for your family.
Greedy gave more to lsu football on a Wednesday during the off season than you ever will and youre sitting here questioning his character, manhood, and the way he is raising his daughter because he chose to turn pro before you think he should turn pro.

It is just in the past few year starting with this generation of kids that this has become a thing. This generation is not like we were. they are very afraid. It is weird.
A: The signing bonuses are now far greater than they ever were “back in your day”.
B: From the way you talk, you sound about my parents age so I put you in your 60s or early 70s. That generation is the most irrationally frightened generation ever. From the Cold War to the satanic panic, it was all mostly propaganda fueled by that generation of irrational fear.

He’s absolutely quitting. That’s just a fact.
Feel free to argue whether you feel it’s okay or not okay...but objectively, he quit.

Except it’s not. He played through the A&M game and thus completed the season as per his obligation.

There’s one more game
You think scholarship football players aren’t obligated to play in the bowl game too?
He quit with a game left. This is unarguable. It’s really odd that this is where the discussion has gone.

Bowl games are by definition AFTER SEASON. He is under no obligation to play in a game after season.
In fact, he is no longer even a student at LSU.

Lol some of you are so pathetic, Greedy can say the same thing to all the fans that left at halftime for every game of every year he was here.
Grow up!!! He is making a smart business decision. I would bolt and most on this board would bolt if given that opportunity.
Posted on 12/29/18 at 7:31 am to tigerclaw10
He must have wanted to be Santa real bad. He can rationalize it all he wants, but playing 12 games vs 13 at CB is not valid of an excuse.
Posted on 12/29/18 at 8:47 am to tigerclaw10
Ok, he should risk his career for a meaningless who gives a shite bowl. Got it.

When did Greedy announce he wasn't playing football anymore? You have a Link?
Last I heard, he was going pro as a first round pick.

No shite. What I am saying is this generation, as risk adverse as many of them are, would be hopeless if we ever had to face something like that again. It is just irrational fear with no sense of loyalty or team.
Posted on 12/29/18 at 9:54 am to boxcar willie
Again why are you acting like the WWII wasn’t risk adverse?
They were still humans and still probably avoided risks that they could avaoid.
You’re still comparing winning the fiesta bowl to defending the American way of life and that’s sorta where you lose all perspective.
Like there is a reason why we view America’s involvement in WWII differently than Vietnam.
I am Sure more soildiers from Vietnam if they had a choice wouldn’t have fought in Vietnam.
Because the stakes of that war weren’t the same.
