You have to know the coaches had to have told him we would need him just to have some sort of depth at CB. Kid left his whole team out to dry because he couldn’t play one game at a position that isn’t really a huge injury prone position. I am all for supporting LSU players even when they reach the NFL but the guy might be the reason this game is closer than we want it to be.
frick you and this slave mentality bullshite. You literally want him to risk his future to entertain your arse on New Year’s Day. Read a book, a-hole.

From a fan perspective im disappointed but from a personal perspective I understand. This is the new normal in college football but I do understand that he has to do what he thinks is best for him and his family. Universities make hundreds of millions of dollars of these kids and if these kids gets hurt its on them. Whole i am sure the insurance policies would take care of these kids rather nicely, it no where compares to the money a top 5 or 10 pick would make in the NFL. Sure, every game is a risk but when it comes to the last game of the season with not a chance to play for a nationbn al championship then to some the risk reward isnt worth it. Everyone will and wants to be remembered as a national champion, No one will remember the Fiesta bowl 10 years from now. So each its own, it was a pleasure watching Greedy on the field and I wish him the best in the Nfl

This is what it boils down to for anyone with any sort of rationality IMO.

He should have played. What's next, I'm not playing against the cream puffs on the schedule.

Not far away
Watch and see.
Watch and see.

If they try that during the season, immediately pull the scholly. That'll stop that noise in it's tracks.

It’s a spot on comparison. You think these kids owe you something. You think you fricking own them. They owe you nothing. And you don’t own shite. All this quit on the team shite is just that, shite. The team isn’t mad. They understand. It’s you frickers who can’t tolerate this kid “stepping out of line.” frick you.

You are seriously one dumb mofo. Bringing race into this you racist POS.
I would be saying the same thing if the kid was white. Color has nothing to do with it. Its quitter mentality and Greedy is a quitter.
Melt on you silly snowflake.

hasn't he been risking it all year, he was projected first round? Why QUIT for bowl, should've QUIT before A&M made him play 7 extra quarters, or some other arbitrary time when his value was perceived as maximized

But, Jaylon playing should have been expected. He's a player that never took plays off and played just as hard vs schedule filler games as he did vs top teams. In the end he's doing fine and got a good contract and is due a very lucrative 2nd contract soon. Very similar to Devin White as a 100% player.
So did greedy.

You can just as easily be injured in game 1, 5, 7 or 9. Finish the race.
Posted on 12/28/18 at 9:56 pm to DamnStrong1860
the risk of a career ending injury is very much a long shot. Each his own, but for most players, weighing out getting to play that final bowl game with your team against the long shot minor chance of a major injury comes down on the side of play the game. Its like not having much feeling of loyalty or a bond with your team to so easily choose not to play. Very risk averse personality that would probably be afraid of things like spiders or flying in airplanes and that sort of thing I would think, or just doesn't really care much about his team. It just seems kind of weird to me because I am the exact opposite type of person who takes to many risks to easily and also feels a great bit of loyalty to those that have my back, I have theirs. Just the way I was raised more out in the country in a small town

Or turn professional when you want.
I find it amusing watching people shite on a kid fulfilling his dream of turning into a professional athlete and setting up his family for generational wealth ON HIS TIMETABLE.
As a lsu fan i would love for him to play but i wont admonish his character for not doing so.
Not saying you are
