Besides the obvious (Mike's cage on the field, TGBFTL freedom, tailgating freedom, etc.); here are a couple.

Instead of the short quick da da daaah DAA! when the offense has the ball, I wish they would bring back the "Goooooo! ~drum cadence~ Goooooo! ~drum cadence~ Gooooooo!

Tiger Rag after the LSU touchdowns, with the holding final note until the extra point is made.

The slightly slower lead-up to the Pregame 4 notes.

Pep rallies.

I miss the purple jerseys that had just enough mesh that the shoulder pads reflected through. Haven't really seen those since the Kevin Faulk days.

a game I’ll never forget!!!

Not having a fake rivalry game. It was way better when we played Florida State, Ohio State, USC, Miami and Notre Dame late in the season rather than locking in Arkansas and Texas A&M every year. Texas A&M was always Texas' rival, not ours. Arkansas was better matched with Oklahoma.

You want to play in Columbus and South Bend in November/early December? Be subjected to the elements up north after we play Bama in early November? Wtf, why not just play the Packers while we're at it. Not sure if you thought this through my baw.

Bama leads the series 55–26–5, so we were never beating them on a regular basis.

There was a brief stretch-2000-2007 where we won 7 of 8 including 4 in a row at Tuscaloosa. So that's the closest thing to a "regular basis" we have in the series.

But I don't understand how a tiger in a cage rolling around the stadium is intimidating.

It would roll in front of the opposing players at some point. And it would stop, someone would stick a microphone in the cage, and make him roar over the loud speakers.

It was pretty intimidating and awesome.

The #1 tradition lost is undying fan loyalty. Just read this board when anything presents a challenge.... like people complaining about having to attend baseball games at the new box because it's not the old box.

Who the frick wants to attend a game in the old box outside of pure nostalgia.

What we want is a modern stadium. What we’ve got is an outdated stadium cosplaying as the old box.

Was a crazy atmosphere when this was noticed and then announced over the speakers.

They have caught on like wildfire at other schools with less tailgating tradition. I think the idea is fine and doesn't detract from those of us who prefer to do it ourselves. It brings more tailgates/fans to campus on gameday that wouldn't otherwise be there.

Maybe, but have you been to other schools with tons of this stuff? It feels like going to a pro game and not college. It also feels very much like your average fan just doesn't belong there. It doesn't feel organic and real. It feels like a fake experience so the people with tons of money can have a super nice party put on for them. It doesn't bring more. It leaves out the people who actually are the real fans and aren't just there because they have the money and someone/company invited them/gave them tickets.
