I'm going to throw an LSU loss out there because it was truly one of the best LSU games I've ever seen, despite the good guys coming up short:
2013 @UGA, 44-41. The highlights from this game are absolutely insane.
I thought this game was terrible. Awful field conditions, awful weather, awful QB play from the Tigers and a win that can be directly attributed to the other team's failures on special teams. The thing that always sticks out about this is poor Alexis Serna. Dude blew the game for the Beavers, then went on to win the Groza award the following season. Quite a turnaround.

The defense in that game was so bad...and the muffed punt...sigh.

This game sucked. Thank God for Alexis Serna!

Also, the rain delay right as pregame happened. During the delay, 5 separate incidents of fans running onto the field, last one being a streaker

1987 vs UGA in Athens. And the year before going into Neyland and curb stomping the Vols.

All good games mentioned. One I remember simply because of Michael Brooks slam dunking Arizona's QB late in the game was the LSU-Arizona game in ???, around the mid 90's. I've forgotten.

1999 vs. Arkansas
Hal Hunter led the 2-9 Tigers as interim coach after Dinardo had just got fired after losing to Houston. Some big plays from Rohan, Reggie Robinson and Rondell Mealey.
Attendance is reported at 77,610 but it seemed like half that amount of people there with our record being so bad and it being the day after thanksgiving. Student section was empty.

That auburn game was the first game I went to as a kid..
Me too. My Dad and I drove up Airline Hwy from Kenner and picked up the a La. State Trooper's son or nephew near Laplace to go with us. The State Trooper had given my Dad the tickets and his name was Tamborello or Tamburella or something like that.
Never have been able to find that kid again. :(

2004 vs Oregon St
The rain delay to start the game with people going on the field and body sliding across it and getting tossed.
We didn't score until late in the 3rd when Jamarcus came in off the bench.
Serna missing everything.
Down 8 with less than a minute or so left, from about the 50, Russell hits Bowe who turned up field and scored. I believe Russell ran the 2pt conversion in to tie.
Oregon state scores on 4th down in OT only to have Serna miss the XP for us to win.

1966 Cotton Bowl.
LSU-14 Arkansas-7.
LSU stops the Hogs bid for a second NC. Can't find any good film of this game. The Cotton Bowl always made a highlights show of the game. I couldn't find a video of the game anywhere.

1985, was there, 27-26 thriller, very underrated game and your memory is good, M Brooks got scrambling UA QB to run out of bounds on 4th down, Arizona had best FG kicker in country that year (one of the zendehous..sp?) and could have tried a 53 yarder to win, but went for it..game included UA return for TD pick 6 and some great runs by Hillaird

I'll never forget the 1962 TCU game. Tigers won 5-0 after a heartbreaker the week prior.
1962 is a year everyone forgets bc Ole Piss was undefeated. This was at a time where the Rebs were propped up by racist referees that wanted them to win. Tigers got royally screwed in a 15-7 loss that year.

Georgia is one I'd like to forget...

Haven't looked at all the post yet but LSU vs. Georgia in, I believe 1986, Tommy Hodson freshman year. Wasn't there and believe it was a road game.
Reading the post yesterday about people's most maddening game (usually, but not necessarily a loss), thought a good thread would be something along the lines of:
"Games lost in a particular season that had LSU won, and shoulda won, we'd probably have another championship banner for that particular year" (and could even go further and point to 1 or 2 plays in said lost game that mighta changed the outcome; I.e.: Cam Newton TD; Bert Jones interception in 1972 Orange Bowl; etc).
But I'm not a thread starter!

My freshman year
Since it was originally supposed to be a home game, they opened up the north endzone in TS and we watched it projected onto screens they had on the field.
Good times
