6th inning Slam by SS Pleasants after the Auburn pitcher had only given up one hit thru 5 innings. Much needed offensive spark. 4-1 LSU, still batting in the 6th !!!

We needed that badly! Offense was completely shut down till the 6th.

Kilponen should have had a shut out but we dropped the tag at the plate

Maybe give Newland another shot at DP in the SECT

It should have been a tie score before that if not for that blown call at 1b against Andrews, replay showed she was clearly safe.

Rough day defensively again for LSU, they need to clean that up, like yesterday.

Pleasants homer was to straight away center. LSU wins 4-1. Wins the series. Finishes 13-11 in the SEC which is tied for 5th with KY. LSU should be the 5 seed based on winning 2 of 3 vs KY in the regular season.

So they should match up with either Georgia or Auburn in the first round of the SINGLE elimination SEC Tournament.

22/357, you guys know much better than 99.9% on here, what are our chances in SEC and what do we need to host a Reginald? Thanks

Wonder how they decided Georgia was the 11 seed and Auburn 12. Both finished 7-17 in the SEC and didn't play each other.

I'd prefer to play Auburn again than SC, Auburn has very little/no offense. SC while isn't good at all, can do much more with their bats. You never know which offense for LSU will show up so I'd rather face a team that struggles even more to score

Or it may be better facing SC since their pitching is no where near as strong. I trust Sunseri/Kilponen to get the job done vs most teams.

They will host due to RPI and SOS, but they will travel for supers if they get out of regionals.

I would prefer they play South Carolina, LSU has a hard time hitting quality pitchers and Auburn has the two freshman who both did well against us. If not for Pleasants homer we definitely could have lost that last game 1-0.

I would rather go against a team with a weaker pitcher and better hitters than a team with better pitching than hitting....this is assuming our defense shows up for the game....unearned runs have killed us this year.

Is there such a thing as a dual gender sports athlete? Could use it on the other side.

Not going to need it with democrats in control. Soon, men who think they are women, will be able to compete in NCAA softball.

I was looking at it from both ways. I'd love to face a SC's pitching and Auburn's offense

On another note, LSU will be extremely familiar with Auburn if we do end up facing them on Wednesday.

At some point, preferably in the SEC tournament, LSU will get Sunseri, Clark and Doyle hitting in unison with Andrews, Briggs and Pleasants and have an offense that could carry them at least to a super. It hasn't happened the entire season, so why not now?
