I will leave this thread and let y'all discuss something that will never happen.

I sure hope he doesn't. I want Lee to have a hell of a game agains the gumps. I've always been a backer on Lee.

I hate to interrupt the pissing contest about who is going to play, but I have friends that have dealt with a business he once partly owned.

HE'S SAYING THIS FOR RATINGS!!

It' not popular, however, this, i believe, can be the key for THIS game and not for the season.

It makes bama have to account for the qb running. Which means, they more likely than not can't double r.r.. If they have to assign a lb or safety to j.j. then his ability to make accurate passes becomes the key to victory. It will free up our wr's/t.e. for one on one match ups. It's why the j.j. to randle play worked last year.

we need j.j. for THIS game and we need him to play well. we have a bigger goal ahead and use every weapon and exploit every match up to your advantage. it's not a lee vs jefferson thing. it's a beating bama thing.

Obviously Jordan proved in the Auburn game that his "skill set" is a deadly weapon.

1st drive:
Shepard Loss of 3
Jefferson Loss of 1
Ford gain of 7
punt

2nd drive:
Ford no gain
Jefferson loss of 5 (thanks for the facemask Auburn)
Hilliard gain of 3
Jefferson TD pass

So basically, without the facemask Jefferson would have led two drives that would have resulted in two 3 and outs.

I don't think you can look at it that way.

Whether we can slow down their pass rush to keep Lee comfortable in the pocket will dictate the number of snaps JJ gets.

Did this turn into a shite on JJ thread? Shocker!

Funny, you can maybe claim that one post here is negative towards JJ backers. I don't see the post that actually takes "a shite on JJ".

Most of the posts here seem to suggest that we should bench our starting QB in favor of the backup.

Thank God all of this QB crap is over in a few months.

Jefferson's had some good games against them

When we are touting a 114 yards passing as one of his best games, it speaks volumes

Gordy Rush Said He Expects Jefferson To Get Majority of Snaps

Only way this happens is if Lee gets hurt (heaven forbid) or we can't stop their pass rush. JJ will get his snaps and I think he will come up with a big play or two, but I think Lee will be in the majority of the time.

I heard him this morning in Baton Rouge and what he said was that Jordan has had success against Bama and in his opinion would limit some of Bama's blitz packages because they would have to defend the zone read, etc. He said he wouldnt be surprised if Jordan got more plays than usual, but Lee would still start and play the majority of the game.

@glrush3 Please tell the Ranters I said the matchup with Bama should give JJ more reps, not a majority. He has played well versus Bama

It wasn't a serious question. Thanks for the answer though. Hopefully it'll help later in the thread when someone asks the same question and is serious.
