Bleacher Report

I think LSU will have another top 10 class this year and a very successful year in 2010, possibly another National Championship.

I have said this as well, I am thinking a 10 win season or better for LSU next year. I am just hoping one of your losses comes to Auburn. Fear the Spike!

Damn Positigers! Why can't they just let the Negatigers dwell in their misery instead of trying to give them something positive to think about.

Agree. Good article. But needs some editing:

Great article. Finally something that makes since, other than the tired old garbage that has been on here lately.

With that said, if you follow certain blogs or social networks you might get the impression that LSU has fallen into the college football abyss.

This was funny ... wonder who this is targeting? Anyway that was very refreashing reading something postive about LSU.

Good article but the whole part about Marshall was completely unnecessary. Looking forward to next year!

This was not a bad article. Some good points were made. My issue has to do with expectations. I believe Miles is an OK coach. I just don't see how anyone can say he is a Saban or Meyer caliber of a coach. That is ridiculous especially since Saban just went undefeated in 2 regular seasons of the SEC. How many coaches in the country could coach LSU and get Les Miles results? In my opinion (after we went 1-8 versus top 25 teams in the last 2 years) there are a good number of coaches. If you are satisfied with winning 8 or 9 games a year Les will give you this all day long. He has proven he can beat bad and average teams. We lost the SEC by 5 and 3 games the last two years and were very lucky to have won 8 games in that stretch the way we played. Miles worshipers say we are going to win 10 plus games and win the National Champ. Miles haters say 6-6. What I am saying is Miles is going to stay somewhere in the middle. What fans have to decide is do we take a chance or cling comfortably to winning 8-9 games a year. Are we satisfied with fighting for 2nd in the West. Why does it have to be black or white all the time? I think we finish next year somewhere in the middle with the team playing like the #3 through #6 SEC team.

So do Miles 1st three years not count?

Does his national title not count?

And I don't want to hear how it was Saban's recruits, that is the stupidest argument one could make unless you want to say Saban is only because of Shula's recruits and Myer only won with zook's.

I think there's a pretty good reason for why the last two years were what they were.

My expectation is that our D@mn fine football coach will return to the form and standard he established in his first three years and I believe we will be back on the top of the mountain.

HOWEVER, if we run Miles off because 8,9,10 win seasons just aren't good enough then don't be surprised if we return to the 90's all over again.

Some people think it's just so easy, ‘why didn't the coach do this or that’, ‘I would have done it this way or that way’, ‘why did he call that play or this one’ when in reality they haven't a clue!

Les Miles is one of the most respected coaches in the country, outside of the delusional element within our own fan base.

If you can't embrace the Hat and what he has meant to LSU then I doubt you'll ever appreciate any coach that wears the purple and gold.

However, if you are concerned that the handful of loud and passionate, yet misguided fans on the Blogosphere are right and Les Miles has changed, then don’t fear the Hat.
