That argument doesn't work because many LSU fans hate ULL because they cheer for Bama over LSU. If there's no requirement than those LSU fans have no reason to hate ULL

My point is many LSU fans hate ULL because ULL fans sometimes support Bama. They say it's stupid (and I agree) to support an out of state school instead of the other in state school.

Then they say that as an LSU fan they have no requirement to cheer for an in state school.

My reasoning for disliking them and most others I know has nothing to do with their love for bama. Yes it's dumb. But not why I dislike ULL.

When I was a student at Alabama, I pulled for the Tide. Alabama played USL in football all 4 years I was I student. Hard to cheer against my hometown school even though I was a UA student and grew up going to all USL sporting events and family went to school there. In 2011, I found myself pulling for LSU during the national championship run. I go to 2 or 3 LSU football games a year and pull for the Tigers. I would prefer the top Louisiana football recruits stay home and play for the Tigers.
