I stayed at The Glenn for a convention. This place was great! Majority of the staff is from NOLA. (damn, I wish I could remember the GM's name) The rooftop bar was not open but the lobby bar was awesome. The room's were a little small but completely refurbished with flat screens and trendy decor. I highly recommend this place!

We booked a 3 star in Buckhead for $52 yesterday on HOTWIRE. Its right near the marta and we're planning to go out in Buckhead post game rather than hanging out downtown.

We stayed at the Airport Hilton last year & were pleased. Moderate price, & there is a shuttle to the airport where you can board MARTA.

Great suggestion in recommending The Glenn. Have heard nothing but great things about it and it's in a great location for the game.

The Olympics in Atlanta was in '96. I saw mens track and field, ladies hoops and a few other sports.
I walked back from the GA Dome to my downtown hotel after either the Peach Bowl or the SECCG with no problems. As long as there are lotsa people in town wandering around, the tin cuppers and worse won't be a big issue.
