Go Forward Plan - How to Use Nola/Eades?

Seems like they're both struggling to go more than 5 good innings. Obviously, PM left Nola in 1 inning too long last night and replaced Eades at just the right time today.

S Carolina just worked the count on eades today, like every good team will do. Eades made them earn every hit they got, and SC made Eades work for every out. It was a great battle.
If he pitches like this from here on out it will be great for us and he will go deeper against lesser opponents (and SC is a CWS like opponent).

who cares, just one the title, lets celebrate

We didn't accomplish anything when we "one" today. The goal for LSU baseball is to win from here on forward.

Winning the damn sec championship is nothing? Please. Every teams goal is to win their conference

Back the train up there a bit buddy. Of course winning the sec is a nice accomplishment. However, the bar that's set for LSU at baseball isn't measured on SEC championships. LSU starts every season with bigger things in mind. We have more national titles than a shitload of teams have conference championships.
I'd take 3rd-4th in the conference and a CWS birth over a sec champ and a super regional exit.

We won the SEC. I'm celebrating! But our season continues. Thought it would be cool to discuss how we use Nola/Eades from here on.

I'd be fine if Eades didn't pitch during the SEC tourney, and start him on championship sunday during the regionals

In the SEC tournament I would throw Nola in game 3, Eades in game 4.
The regional would depend on the opponent. If we need to throw one of them in game 1 on Friday I would use the one with the weaker tournament performance, and use the better performer on Sunday.
My rotation for the SEC tournament would be:
Broussard
Gausman
Nola
Eades
McCune or AllStaff (If Nec.)

McCune wouldn't be necessary if Broussard, Gausman, Nola, Eades all won the games. It takes 4 wins to be a Tournament Champion.

I have a feeling some of the best SEC teams we have faced this year are going to be a lot better than anyone we'd run into in the Supers.
LSU
Florida
South Carolina
All should be in Omaha. Kentucky has a great shot too.

Even though we should be guaranteed a top 8 seed I don't think we should take a chance and need to win at least 2 in the tourney to make sure. I would go with my 2 best which after today i would say would be Gausman and Eades. Eades had good stuff today and holding USCe to 1 run into the 6th inning is definitely encouraging. If we get our 2 wins then we have Nola to go to. I wouldn't mind seeing if Cotton would start and seeing how he could do over 6-7 innings. I think he could do as well as SC's starter today.

Right, and if one of the first two lose then we would have to play 5 games to win it, which is why "If Nec" was added.

I don't think there is any way Mainieri throws both Gausman and Eades on 4 days rest.

Got to be either Broussard or McCune since neither pitched this weekend.

A series of goals id the surest way to a championship.
Win the West, the SEC crown and then the NCG will take care of itself.

I have a feeling the CWS line up will will look very similar to the SEC tournament.
