I don’t think anyone doubted Daniels’ potential especially given his running ability. People thought he maxed out in development, because he had not really changed from his Freshman year to last year.

His issues were in accuracy and most of all trusting to let the ball rip which he refused to do last year. Something clicked this offseason finally in year 5 that fee thought would and you are seeing JD reach his potential. It wasn’t unreasonable to believe he wasn’t going to get here, so supporting Nuss wasn’t that far-fetched.

Hopefully Nuss continues to develop similarly. We will see. All the talent in the world as a passer, but has to improve his accuracy and decision making.
