ID a game we lost because he was playing OF and not first. Seems to have working out well. In case you haven't noticed, we are playing for a natty.

Yeah, I didn’t think about that.
I assumed runner took off before ball was bunted into play because he was on Milazzo so damn fast, even with Tre crashing.
That was the most unsafe safety squeeze ever then, obviously.

He was dealing with a hand injury that made it difficult to catch. I wouldnt expect all the newcomers to know that though.
And before you dumbshits say "Well, he has to catch in the of", thats a LOT different than having a D1 3rd baseman, SS, or 2nd baseman uncork one right at you on the infield.

also a hell of a dive by WF player.
Tommy Hawke had a perfect slide on his steal to second. That was a slightly poorer form from being thrown out. I do appreciate how they fully extend on their slides.

That was a perfect slide by Hawke.
But sliding into home is a lot different than sliding into second.
It sometimes seems like the umps gives the runner more room on the base path to dodge the catcher, but the real reason is that the runner only needs a piece of the plate to score.
Have to stay on the bag stealing bases. So a traditional slide at home isn’t always ideal depending on the play & I actually think that’s a great play by the runner — just a better one by Tre/Milazzo
