In case you missed it, the title of the thread is
quote:

Marquise Hill tribute

You're the one that brought up and continues to talk about the way he passed away. It's unnecessary and inappropriate to this thread.

Grow up.

Nope .. I still celebrate his career and life like anyone else .. But let's say you or I leave a family behind because we decide to jet ski near the lake and canal currents without a life jacket, unable to swim and drown .. or we any less important because we didn't play at LSU ?

It's not like he died from cancer, a car accident, diving into a pond to save drowning kids, etc. He made a crazy decision with his life in front of him that put him at tremendous risk .. Doesn't make him any less of a football player or person .. and it's not like it happened last week either .. just a statement of fact .. stop being a sensitive nancy ..

Corrrect me if im wrong but didnt he pass trying to save his GFs life?

I went to high school with him. great guy, I was able to catch up with him a couple times and he gave me a game used helmet. one of my all-time favorite tigers.

I get where you're trying to come from, but your comments are ignorant. He was enjoying himself, it was an accident and instead of grabbing the piling he went after his girlfriend.

It is genuinely sad and I wish he hadn't put himself in the insurmountable position he did given the facts and circumstances .. It could have been avoided and should sadly serve as a lesson ..

But let's say you or I
Okay, let's say it was your son that did something reckless and lost his life. And let's say 5 years later a friend of his decided to commemorate the anniversary of his passing by posting a video tribute to some of the fond memories and accomplishments of your son. And let's say some anonymous stranger came along and started harping on what a complete dumbass your son was and how stupid it was that he died for being an idiot.

Would you feel like that was keeping in the spirit of the tribute? Or would you prefer that person save such comments for another discussion at another time?

Bingo. Pretty much the point. Because you feel like you need to make a point, you've gotten part of this thread to turn into a pissing match, and deviate from the original purpose of this thread.

If you can't see it, you're a douche. Save your comments for another thread dude.

you know somewhere above all of us, God is keeping a scorecard of how we all act on the internet .. you two are destined for free wi-fi when you get up there !

it is interesting that, instead of giving the guy the tribute he rightfully deserves, you choose to continue the pissing match and bump the thread for your own grandstanding purposes ..
