South Carolina put up 28 against Arky at Arky without Lattimore. Now that is pretty close because SC has changed some things about their offense since they lost him. Not much difference in the defenses.

UGA doesn't have enough fuel in the tank to last 4 quarters with LSU. they'll be running on fumes before the end of the 3rd.

So we did what we were supposed to do then right? If we had the 30th ranked defense I would understand the "your defense isn't good because you didn't play anyone" argument, but we still played well enough to shut those teams down for the most part and have a highly ranked defense. What else are we supposed to do? Is anything else than 3rd in the country behind bama/lsu unacceptable?

You know, it is funny. I fully expect it to be a close game heading into the 4th quarter. LSU was only up 7 on Arky heading into the 4th. Other teams just run out of steam---
you do realize Bama only had 100 yards of offense after about 7 min left in the 2nd quarter? Something starts to happen in all the LSU games about mid way through the second quarter. It really is uncanny how the game turns.

That "But you haven't played anybody" line is as tired as Jeff Foxworthy's redneck crap....as I posted on another thread, LSU has played many of many of the same teams that UGA has, and has played 6 Top 25 teams (using LSU logic) while LSU has played 7 top 25 teams. I also feel that LSU is a better team, but please...enough with that whole line of thinking. UGA's D is very very good. Not as good as LSU's, but very good indeed.

Uga has played 2 teams in the BCS top 25. Lost to BOTH. LSU has played 4. Won them all. Enough with the line of thinking????????? Please.
Oh yeah....LSU won 3 of those outside of the state of Louisiana. UGA lost both inside their own state.

Correct, but LSU fans won't hear it. Our defense is ONLY good because of our schedule and not because of the players or the coaching.

Listen; I agree with you that LSU is the best team by a large marin, and I know UGA lost those two games, Boise very badly. But the post was about defense, and all everyone says is UGA's defense is weak cause their stats are against all lousy teams. That is just not the case....all I'm saying.

And, once again, NOBODY IS SAYING WE'RE AS GOOD AS LSU. Let that sink in reeaaaal good.
We're saying our defense is very, very good and just a notch below yours. Nobody on this board is trying to say we're as good as LSU.
