The pipeline starts at the lower levels and guys work their way up to higher levels as they become better. But most young guys and gals are not interested in being subjected to the treatment that they receive at the lower levels.

I officiated high school football In Louisiana and absolutely loved it. I’ve since transferred to another state and it doesn’t compare to the games in LA.

As far as the pipeline, I found the guys that were able to move up had jobs where their work was flexible; sales, self employed etc. As you move up there is a lot of travel, clinics, working practices etc.

but wasn't the ruling on the field was that it was a catch BUT he was out of bounds short of the goal line? Then they came back with the ruling that the pass was incomplete?

Yes that’s how it went.

He's from Lafayette and hates LSU with all his guts. He's also salty because his dad is a legendary NFL ref and the NFL hasn't accepted him yet. Apparently they keep hiring DEI applicants (5/5 newest hires are DEI) and he's also mad about that.

I have known Daniel, his dad and his brother for 25+ years

quite literally everything you say here is false

So the obvious PP7 Int years ago against Alabama was just a bad call?

I was still a fan-atic at this point and just as pissed as everyone else was. I remember that they kept showing the replay, but cant remember if replay was used by the officials in this call. I think yes it was a bad call.

The non targeting call when JD5 got rocked in 2023 against Alabama was just a bad call.

I have actually heard the decision points on this call from THE guy. I listened to all the input and heard the explanation. I dont agree with it but also realize than the fan-atic side of my brain doesnt care about logical references. Lol

The no call on PI for the Saints that prevented them from going to Super Bowl(worst non call in all of football history) were just oopsies!!

I am not a fan of any professional team, but i will never understand this call. I, just like the rest of the world saw it one way. I have some friends that work this level and they are also mystfied by tbis call.

These situations give fuel to the fire of the conspiracy machine!

I get it. I understand the disgruntled viewpoints. There are legitimate missed calls in sports. We are not perfect and never will be.

As an observer of LSU sports on The Rant, it has turned into, every call that does not go in favor of LSU is usually classified in one of the categories below:

1. The official hates LSU
2. The SEC hates LSU
3. The game official is a human piece of shite and we are going to dox his personal information.

It's always the extremes that rule the day. Called The Rant for a reason. That is not lost to me. Just trying to bring some clarity to the situation to help folks who are truly interested, understand the processes.

Still here and still love it. Love the passion and seeing some of these dudes grow. Nothing like it.

Would rather be no place else on a Thursday or Friday night. Even with all the negative sentiment surrounding officials, I absolutely love it.

This statement is a clear indication that you have zero understanding for what officials have to do and are responsible for

Show me any public criticism from any conference of officials or the NFL
Ill wait

A coach or player says one bad thing about the officiating and they get fined 6 figures

I'll be interested to hear the explanation of the call.

you won't get a real one

Even if the head SEC official thinks it was the wrong call it will never be said publicly
