It's funny to see where these threads go after a couple of hours. I just thought it was interesting that a pretty knowledgeable guy about football (he did actually play at the sport's highest level, by the way) and who has seen almost every big game in the SEC over the course of the last 8 years or so thinks that the two most physical games he's seen since he's been doing color both involved LSU. It says something about the consistency of the physicality that LSU plays at. I guess that's all talent and no coaching though.

Evidently there is a lot of love for Gary Danielson. However, in my opinion, he is a hack. Having a senile stump like Verne to work with doesn't help but that's not an excuse.
Since the SEC is in bed with CBS there have been many games to watch with these two goons and they are routinely incorrect on game assessments, players and situations.
I know this will ruffle some of the feathers of the bromancd you have with this guy but it's just my opinion. I don't like his game calls and wouldn't mind if I never heard his high pitched sad sack voice and saw his Botox riddled face again.

Attendance figures would never be an issue with an up to date, non-knuckle dragging offense. Sorry for getting off topic, but I'm so frustrated and realize it will never change with Miles in charge. Guess I'll just grin and bear it.

The last two games were exciting. I guess you tune out when those other teams o were on the field. And must have tuned out in the other seasons that were the most productive in LSU history.

Yeah I don't know why people like those guys. I hate having to listen to them and I hate CBS. They turn a 1 hour game to 4.5. They kill momentum with players standing around for 3 minutes in a huddle picking at their asses. It kills the stadium as well. The players spend more time standing around than playing the actual game.

I agree with your opinion on the momentum killing timeouts, but those aren't Danielson's fault.

Yeah maybe it's CBS and those Asshats and not so much Gary either way it's time for Verne to go.

Be nice if we could complete at least half our passes and break the 100yrd mark.

Everyone here knows your pussy starts aching every time somebody doesn't praise les miles but this quarterback situation has been handled during his time is depressing.

Go watch the Saints if you want to be entertained with a high flying passing offense

Ok, I do that. What's that have to do with LSU's terrible passing game? The Saints have a Super Bowl and multiple playoff wins with that offense.

Fwiw, when teams that score a lot of points don't win championships its bc of their defense. LSU's defense won't automatically suck just bc the offense can complete a pass. That's just a stupid train of thought. A stupid way to justify LSU's pitiful offense.

And LSU has won a few games over the past few years with their offense.

Right now we have a SOPHOMORE and a TRUE FRESHMAN QB tandem that are both learning and working hard to become better QB's with young WR's. Be patient with these young Tigers, they will be fine

I'll never understand why people keep bringing up the Bama-A&M game whenever someone criticizes the LSU style of offense.

Why don't we also compare respective results against Auburn?

OR, compare our results directly against these high-flying offenses? 3-0 vs A&M, 1-0 vs Oregon, beat Auburn last year

Danielson just about made me sick the way he arse-kissed Alabama practically the whole game. And I laughed my arse off when A. Cooper dropped about 4 passes in the second half after Danielson declared him the "best player in college football today."

The fact is that Cooper probably is the best football player in college today.

The fact is that Cooper had a bad game holding onto the ball.

Again, Gary is the brightest mind in all of CF by far. He is extremely insightful and explains things clearly...

Would love to see our players in an offensive system that is innovative and allows them to be the athletes that they are.

Holy shite. For the 10000th time. No cfb program runs a huge amount of different plays or introduce a ton of new plays every week. You can only practice 20 hours a week. Cfb is about execution.hell auburn runs the same damn play 75% of the time. Where you saying lsu ran an out dated offense last year when we set an sec record offensively? The offense sucks this year because of our qb play. Bottomline. He isnt executing the plays well. A qb draw can go for 70 yards if executed right.

I guess you havent watched all the bama games. This game wasnt even close to his worst game.

There are numerous players that are better than cooper.

How? He is playing the best qb he has. While BHarris clearly has more upside, you cant just give up on this year.

I agree he's playing best he has, I just think most LSU fans have a hard to grasping why "the best we have" is below avg at a school of LSU's caliber.
More times than not.

Yeah. But in reality the only years we truely had shite qb play was 2008 and this year. 2012 wasnt great either. Lsu has bee. Really unlucky with signing qbs. Its not like we arent signing top 10 qbs. I really thought Cam wpuld make a huge difference when he was hired. Even if Miles was handcuffing his play calling (i dont think he is. I dont think he would leave the nfl to come to college to get handcuffed)cam would be the qb coach weve needed.
