I'd like to ask GD to actually watch the monitor in the booth for the replay before ranting about a facemask stiff arm when Ware never even touched the Tenn player's facemask. Ware's hand hit the helmet right above the facemask, perfectly. Watch the damn monitor GD.

Comparing apples to oranges, IMO. Both good RBs, but Richardson is more of a homerun threat while Ware is a violent grinder with good balance. He kinda reminds me of a bigger Domanick Davis.
Personally, I don't find a need to compare the 2 backs, other than the fact that he's implying that Richardson will be the difference in the game.
BTW, Richardson put a stiff-arm on a Black bear tonight in the 1st half that would have made Danielson shite a brick.

I'm a little surprised that he didn't accuse him of a helmet-to-helmet hit. Gary talks directly out of his arse.

He wasn't saying that Ware should have been called for a face mask. His point was that since a defensive player would get called for illegal hands to the face, the rule should be that an offensive player gets a similar call for a stiff arm to the face. His comment was more about the rule than Ware specifically.
I used to hate watching a game with Gary Danielson, but he really is one of the better college football color guys out there.

The need for Gary Danielson to say this 2 weeks in a row makes no sense. Don't get me wrong...I would welcome Richardson on my team any day. But if you think there is that big of a difference between the two you are wrong.
Both are starting running backs on undefeated teams in the S.E.C. To me...that is the same class so GD...

whether or not fans accept this has nothing to do with being peeved that GD feels compelled to harp on the point during all LSU games he covers. If LSU is playing Bama, it's a valid point to discuss in-game. Otherwise, STFU. What's the point of saying this over and over?

Ware definitely impressed me more tonight. Although I think that Gary may be wrong in thinking Richardson is in a different class. I just think that Ware gets run into a wall with the "Up the Middle Charlie" routine that Les employs in the first half. As if Alabama goes strictly on tape in defending plays.
