Going up to Starkville for the day Saturday. Never had any intentions of going to Starkville ever but with the team looking great thought I’d get a crew up there to support. Anything worthwhile visiting while there? Bars / restaurants to check out? Any suggestions help.

It's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be....just a small town with a big campus.....good bars and good food...and the stadium gets LOUD-you will be surprised...

State fans are generally good ole Miss baws. Most realize that 7-8 wins is their ceiling. The Gameday experience for opposing fans is tame, and will be even more so this year. That said, 6 of us will be arriving in the “puddle jumper” at GTR Friday to watch the Saturday massacre.

I like the Bin 612 for good drinks and Cotton District atmosphere. There’s a butcher shop restaurant (I think it is called King’s. It is in an old auto mechanic shop.) that is phenomenal. For night life, check out Hobie’s downtown. It has a ton of college kids but a good number of grown folks, too.

Because the SEC feels sorry for State and let’s them use illegal noisemakers. Without them, it’s an SEC lightweight.

Been there, got the tee shirt. Folks were good, trip was long. Damm those bells, bring hearing protection.
