What time does it actually start?

We’re flying into NOLA Thursday night and then driving over to Baton Rouge on Saturday. Would it be feasible to try to join the crowd that morning, or would it be too much of a hassle with us having to drive in?

Just trying to figure out if it’s worth waking up early Saturday to attend, or if it’ll be so chaotic that we’d basically need to be up at the arse crack of dawn to make it worthwhile.

Over the last 15 years, GameDay has become a commercialized snore fest that caters to fans that are less than casual

If it’s your first time, it might be worth it to check it out. But IMO, it’s another Disney production that has gone to shite. It’s for white women to post that they are watching Gameday on Facebook

You’ll be fine. Give yourself about an hour once you hit Baton Rouge to drive into campus, park and walk to where you’re going.

We usually go to the stadium after lunch. The people watching will rival what you see in Nola.

Assuming it is in the quad again, there was plenty of space in 2024 to move about and explore the set throughout the show (side stages, goal posts, etc). I’m not sure getting there super early to secure a spot is the best deal because you then would feel tied to that spot and wouldn’t want to move around

Is it worth it? Not really. Maybe if you’ve never been to the live show before

It is definitely not worth it to get there that early & try to get in front or anything.

Last time they were here in 2024, I showed up around 9:30-10ish. Saw the guy miss the kick. Got to pet Peter or whatever his name is

The show starts at 8:00 AM CT.

IMO, it's not worth it. It's fairly boring unless you like being told by a crew member when to yell and scream...and then you stand around and wait until they tell you to do it again.

That's a long day if you plan on getting there that early for a 6:30 game. Also, Saturday is supposed to be hot and humid as of now (high 90 with a 60+% chance of rain), something to keep in mind.

Positives - you should be able to get a decent parking spot if you get there that early. You will have a lot of time to walk around campus, maybe grab lunch at Chimes, or get shite-faced if that's your thing.
