Geeeez....I lived in SC for fours years. SC just can't compete on a national recruiting scale (in Football or BB) with the likes of ALA, Auburn, Fla & LSU. Columbia is a nice town to take a nap in. Can't compare to Baton Rouge, or New Orleans. Just ask Spurrier how hard the recruiting is. LSU even reaches into Canada for Football, Baseball, soccer and gymnastics and we even understand French.....And then Clemson has a mental fart and thinks they are Tigers. Geeez. will they neva learn?

i was wondering. besides clemson, who does USC lose recruits to the most? UGA?

All kinds of schools, the players that usually have SC as one of their options will generally have teams like UNC, 'Bama, and a couple of FL schools. But more than anyone UT-SC seem to target a lot of the same players.

I don't think anyone can say with a straight face that LSU doesn't have an advantage in recruiting due to geography and lack of competition in the area, especially when compared to USCe.

LSU has a huge advantage over USCe, and it's not even close.

Someone still isn't over USC eliminating them 15 - 4 in the College World Series just five years back.

It's all about the Louisiana recruits:

* Derek Helenihi - Californa
* Sean Ochinko - Florida
* DJ LeMahieu - Michigan
* Micah Gibbs - Texas
* Blake Dean - Florida

Tyler Hanover North Carolina

Anthony Ranaudo - New Jersey
Louis Coleman - Mississippi

Our #1 and #2 starters are out of state players, as well as 5 players who started the National Championship game. And Hanover started over 50 games for us this year
