Guys, he caught the ball, but tied possession occurred when the hit the ground, then the DB ripped it out. That is why it was a catch and not an INT. What happens the second both players hit the ground is what matters, not who rips it out after the fact.

He had his hands on the ball until he hit the ground. The Defender didn't have the ball until after the impact of the ground. Tie goes to the receiver. These announcers don't know what they are talking about.

Lee/Jefferson don't do a good job of hitting receivers in stride. It seems like they have to come back to the ball, or its thrown behind them or underthrown a lot.
Dont put JJ in this. We are talking about this year only buddy boy. LOL

Should have been called an int but the officials feel sorry for kentuckys qb and didnt want him to start another drive inside the ten yd line

Defender had it tucked in and close, while ODB was trying to pull it away. It was more dual possession than I first thought, but if you see that and ask someone who caught it, they'd say the Kentucky player.
But, rules are rules, and if they considered Beckham as having it that much, then right call. I sure won't argue, and it won't make a difference in the game. Lee just has to throw that damn ball better.

Time for Mett to see some action. Give MetLife!

Nope, though I think some fans wish it was.
Hey I am glad it went our way, but OBJ did not have possession. At first I thought he was down by contact, but he did not have possesion when he hit the ground.

O.k. so now this is a good ole' fashioned workman like blow out! Way to go Tigers!

Possession is 9/10 of the law. In a dual possession, you only need that 10%

It wasn't INT, the tie went to the offense and the home field

Disagree with this completely. UK DB possessed the ball and OBJ had ONE hand on it. That wasn't simultaneous possession, UK guy had a bit more possession of it, enough to say he clearly had possession over OBJ.
Nonetheless I'll take the ref/replay booth frickup
