Game is not going to be as close as people think...

I don't know who will win (I am obviously pulling for/hoping for an LSU victory); however, whichever team does prevail will win by at least 10 points.
Both of these teams are the type that once they finally take a lead (with momentum), their defense makes it extremely difficult for the opponent to play "catch-up". Once one of these teams gets up by a touchdown, look for that team to keep rolling.
Worthless prediction: LSU 27 Bama 14

I would agree with 50% of that statement. LSU is capable of scoring quickly and are very two dimensional. Difficult but possible. Remember the Iron Bowl last year ? Bama falls behind and it will be very hard to come back.

Driving back from the airport yesterday, I was listening to ESPN radio They had Ryan Theriot (LSU alum and St. Louis Cards world champ)on the radio talking about the Cardinals victory and the coaching replacements for St. Louis and for the Cubs. At the end of the interview, the ESPN guy (SVP?) asked him about the big game in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, and Theriot said basically the same thing. Paraphrasing, "I don't think this game will be close at all. I believe that my Tigers will win by at least 10-14 points." I think he picked the Tigers 27-13 or something like that.

There was a feeling of invincibility I, and I think alot of us, felt after the Auburn game. It was the most definite silencing of a very hated rival that we have seen all season. For me, alot of that was lost over the following week and change because of hearing the non-stop Saban-baby-batter-guzzle-athon on ESPN. But as we inch closer to game day, and as I look at clips, highlights and full games of both teams, I'm getting that confidence back in our team. There's a very specific set of words that are floating around all of our heads, or at least some of us, and none of us want to say it until after this game for fear of jinxing (rhymes with Straightest Seem of Small Crime), but after Saturday Night, I do believe that the statement this team makes will silence the rest of the country as well.

I have been saying a 14 to 20 point LSU win for 3 weeks now.

It's simple: Make Bama pass = WIN

Wrong! Everything points to a hard fought, low scoring, nail biter. Late field goal wins it for somebody.

WTF are you talking about? Bama didn't fall behind until late and lost by 1 pt.

If it comes down to a nail biter, I think our chances go way down. If you know what I mean

Closer than you think. LSU 27-20 and they score late to make it close. TR rushes for 66-yards on 26-carries. JL has a perfect day and JJ completely disrupts their "greatest defense in the history of college footbal". Nick blames Barak Obama, the weather, Bama fans and global warming for the loss. They want a rematch, but we play Stanford for the BCS title. Bama destroys BOISE STATE in the Sugar Bowl. GEAUX TIGERS!

That's the part that is killing everyone. No one has a clue what to expect. Close game, blowout,etc...all i know is with it being on CBS.. its going to be a long game.

well this game has been close the last 4 years, with different talent levels on each sideline. so even talent levels, this should be close.
nothing in the last 4 years would suggest otherwise.

I think Lee can make the necessary plays to climb out of a huge deficit also we have RUEBEN! On the other hand I could see AJ trying to do too much and our opportunistic defense taking a few away.

I can easily see a 14 point win for LSU. Bama is ranked higher in almost every defensive stat, which could cause concern to many, but they haven't played any prolific, solid, offenses.

I could not have said it better!

Which means that they fell behind and were not able to come back.
