Was the first game they’ve ever sold alcohol. So they were not prepared

My experimence:

1) campus is beautiful

2) Clemson fans were great for the most part

3) all the bars within a short walking distance from each other was awesome, plus the stadium was close to the bar area too.

4) had no trouble getting in the stadium but I went in over an hour before kickoff

5) two 16oz miller lites were about $20 including tip

6) got food at halftime and missed the first few plays of the third quarter but that’s probably be expected since everyone goes to get food at halftime

7) the stadium was decent but it was never loud to me at any point. Not one time did I think “damn it’s nuts in here”

8) the absolute worst part was after the game when we went to the ESSO bar to let traffic die down…..even after traffic died down, there were literally zero Ubers and there was tons of us, both LSU and clemson fans, trying for hours to get an uber. When the bar closed at 2 and they kicked us out, there was still about 50 people trying to get uber.

Somehow we lucked out around 3:30am when some really old guy who drives for uber just happened to pass by the bar and picked up me and another LSU fan and 4 Clemson fans and brought us to our individual hotels 20 minutes away

It was a total complete shitshow after the game

It seemed when Clemson went up, the crowd went crazy, but when it was tied, they went quiet, as if the game was over for them.

They knew. Deep down, they all knew.

Hotel about 20 minutes away. Were you staying in Anderson or maybe Easley?
I live here in Anderson since moving here 6 years ago from Hammond.
The 3 beer sales spots I saw had one person per booth. Slow as hell!!

Seneca, it was so weird having no Ubers and like 100 people in ESSO trying to get home and even when they closed, there was still like 50 of us. It was pure luck that the old man passed by for whatever reason but we were so thankful he did.

It’s a glorified high school stadium. Their fans are cheesy as hell and drink the dabo koolaid. That environment was nothing like the big venues in the SEC. I guarantee our players would agree.

I was at the game, and the crowd was kind of lame in the stadium, and it’s almost like they need that piped-in music bullshite. Every time there was a time-out, they were doing that crap. It got nauseating and seemed really fake.

But for the most part, the Clemson fans were really nice, although I did have one college kid in front of me who was a Clemson fan. He was there with LSU college kids. He was drunk and started running off the mouth about all the LSU people behind him. Me included, and his buddy who was the tiger fan told him he needed to shut the frick up or basically he was gonna get fricked up by a bunch, LSU fans in real quick. The kid took his advice and shut up. it was funny. The kid shut up, sat down and kind of pouted the rest of the game.

Lucky bastard.

Our party gave up and walked over 3 miles to get back to where we were staying.

After a full day of drinking and walking and standing at the game it was torture

That's my point. It was like there was no thought put into it from a logistical standpoint. The general modus operandi was "welp, guess we'll just put a beer station here and hope for the best"

Bad placement, slow employees, issues with payment terminals, etc. It was inefficient and could've been done better with prior research on what works from other universities.

We were in KK, my god it was ridiculous. Finally had to go to the bathroom in the 4th and I should've just held it. My legs are sore af today

Will also say that I really enjoyed the town and interacting with their fans. Hopping around to different bars during the day and then walking over to the stadium was nice. It was like a better Northgate area at LSU. We stayed on Lake Hartwell, beautiful lake. Overall it was a great trip.

We looked it up and our hotel was a 4 hour and 5 minute walk from ESSO

We considered it bc we had been trying to get an uber for over 3 hours

Yep. You should post more over here. You can be insufferable on the poly board.

refuse to believe it is worse than Tiger Stadium

It is.

Zero trash cans around the stadium/ surrounding areas so the people that actually were tailgating and walking around just tossed trash next to trees.

Thank God one of the guys we were tailgating with had some 13 gallon trash bags in his trailer. We left like of them stacked on the edge of the parking lot as there was nowhere to put them

Their fans were great. We took the parking spot next to us, because we were told the owners weren't coming. They showed up about an hour later. Not only were they polite, the let us keep our tent where it was, backed his SUV tailgate under it, and tailgated with us!

This! Maybe they were too polite or too Baptist. They certainly have never heard of STTDB

We were there and can 100% assure you that everything about this stadium is worse than LSU and yes including the concessions. They were absolutely atrocious

Really? I find that the PoliBoard posters are so thin skinned and defensive that they freak out at anything that isn’t exactly what they so desperately want to believe. I am not responsible for their inability to cope with the fact that reasonable people can disagree with some of them,

We had seats in upper deck, 50 yard line

the concessions were long but didn't seem anyworse than other stadiums in my opinion. Some of the lines were just under staff, moving too slow

They ran out of water and last night and it was the their first night selling Beer. So I think it created some issues for them.

Traffic was tough getting out- Tailgate experience At East Beach Drive, was nice experience. Clemson people were very nice to us all day.

place is clean

Weather was great

before game

1. Prayer
2. America the beautiful
3. Pledge of Allegiance
4. National Athem
5. Fly over with 2 jets
6. Fireworks

it was great to be in the middle of the bible belt. (cop cars say "IN God we Trust")
The clemson fans were so nice all day long...they said "Great game"... they weren't any drunken fools who cursed and made you feel like something bad was about to happen...it was a peaceful walk out...

The Stadium was loud-sound system was pretty solid!

We had a view of the mountains, sunset, and lake in the background, I get it "Saturday night in Death Valley"... they love their football like LSU fans do

Tiger Stadium with a top 10 match up is about as good as it gets...we know this, they do not but I understand why they're proud of their university and team...

This is what makes college football so great!

Chill out. I'm really just messing with you. I think you go over the top sometimes, but you are entitled to your opinion.
