The No. 9 ranked LSU Tigers (1-0) return to action on Saturday when they face the Vanderbilt Commodores (1-0) in the SEC opener for both teams. Kickoff in Tiger Stadium is 6:00pm CT. The game will be televised by ESPNU.

LSU earned a hard-fought 31-23 victory over Washington in Seattle on Saturday, while Vanderbilt beat Western Carolina, 45-0, in its season opener.

LSU has only played Vanderbilt ten times since 1976. The Tigers have won nine of those games, with their lone loss coming in 1990. LSU holds a 20-7-1 record in the series.

When you do not know what the other team is going to do then how can you properly prepare for them? You can not, you have to read and react and hope that you can defend them without any adverse effects. LSU being in a totaly different defensive scheme than they ran before that made it more diffecult. So I believe that LSU will be better prepared this week over last week because they have film to see how tVandy will run their offense. LSU will win by 20+ without a whole lot of trouble if they do not turn the ball over by fumbling it away. Jefferson does not make to many mistakes and takes care of ball realy well. Because of the weather LSU is going to have to take care of the ball. It is going to be slow going but still I believe they win by 20+.
