Vanderbilt is clearly the better team right now. They have 3 stud pitchers we have 1 might be able to beat them with NOLA but they'd kill us the other 2 games.

Head to head I'm not sure Nola beats Beede.

NOLA going deep has really been bailing us out allowing us to pitch by committee Sundays. But even still, after the 3 runs given up by McCune, the pitching wasn't atrocious, we just didn't have the bats to bail us out today.

Seems like we've lost the joy of playing. I know things haven't been going our way alot the last week, but when Katz led off with the double, he was unemotional and that's just not him. We need to relax, just play hard and have fun.

I'll take a series lost to a top 10 team with a chance to redeem ourselves any day over a season ending series lost to a bunch of no name Yankees.

Eta: first series lost in 2 1/2 months btw

I know it sounds stupid but I'm kinda glad that since we did lose, we got shutout, hopefully that thought will ring hard in the players heads and they'll come out focused against UF.

Honestly I think stuff like this will change in two weeks when school gets out. They don't just play baseball and as a student I can tell you these last two weeks fricking suck and you're pretty worn down. Add to the fact that they have responsibilities other than class they have a reason to be worn down. Now everyone goes through this so its no excuse but just sayin.

I kept wondering why we weren't really in teh conversation with them. I see now why.

I knew our pitching staff wasn't top notch, but I thought Nolas ability to go deep into game would win us sundays, but it's not if we can't plate runs

There is also a 99% chance I'll be staying away from the board except maybe from the Top 25 thread. This board is a fricking joke. The amount of idiots around here never ceases to amaze me.

Such is the case with most LSU fans. Any sport. The overreacting and finger pointing make you want to puke.
