You're staying in a hostel. Congrats.
I'll book at the JW Marriott when they release rooms in 3 days.

I don't know what the rooms are like there (the term hostel isn't encouraging) but there is a really cool bar in that hotel.

That’s awesome. So proud of you. I’ll save money to sleep and enjoy the game just like you.

BIL/SIL live in Smithville a little outside Austin so def staying there. Nephews are already fired up about attending. Both are huge LSU fans. Will be there.

Had great reviews. The bar open until 2am and convenient location sold me. Fingers crossed. Regardless I’ll be at the game. That’s all that matters. Don’t need a 5 Star for that. Can’t take the hotel to the game.

I will ban bet you I booked mine on Hotels.com last night. Hotel is Firehouse Hostel in the heart of downtown Austin.
I really don't care about your hostel booking.
The point is that every Marriott and every Hilton is not yet available for booking, meaning they are completely available, not completely booked. This doesn't even consider Hyatt and others, which likely don't book out that far, either.

Just trying to help out the poor folks like me. Enjoy your flight there in your private jet.

Hilton has Hampton and Marriott has Fairfield for budget friendly rates. All of them are 100% open at this point in time, not fully booked.

I’d be careful about hotels.com. I booked through them for Syracuse and then about two weeks before game the hotel called and said they were overbooked and I was out. Preference was given to those that booked directly through hotel. Things worked out but I’ll never use hotels.com again.

Thanks for the info. I’m really just trying to help too.

That sucks. I’ve never had an issue with them. I’ll defintely keep that in mind. Thankfully I can cancel mine anytime within like 3 days of it if I find something better. I just wanna be close as possible without spending a fortune.

I moved from St. Amant, LA to Austin, TX over a year ago and could not be more fired up about this game. I do hope Tom Herman gets this team up to par with a strong finish this year. Austin will be a welcoming fan base for Tiger nation!

Game is week 2. Not the opener.

In all fairness, is game 1 really gonna be a game? But yeah, you’re right.
