Everyone but the Aranda cultists know he's a clown. Again, I'll ask....2.5 million for what?

You’ve also played no teams that have a decent passing attack. We’ve had 89 more pass attempts against us and the completion percentage against us is less than 2% more than yours. 51.9% to 53.7%
So if our pass D sucks, what does that say about y’all’s?
It's fine to admit another team has better players at certain positions than you do. LSU has better WRs than OSU. OSU has better DEs and corners than LSU in 2019. LSU has a better QB in 2019 than OSU.

He wasn’t trashing LSU.

Seems like every average to good offense they play takes their defense to the woodshed.

They need to worry about that D Lineman they might lose for the season for getting that loan from a booster.

Makes a lot of good points, but our defense has been improving, we have gotten a lot of hurt players back, and despite losing Divinity I like our defense more and more week to week.
I’m glad they think LSU is weak against the pass. I saw some fluke scores by an awesome Bama QB and receivers, but I also saw LSU shutting down some slants by all NFL talent and making tackles.
I think LSU now has a championship team.

I didnt check the stats but ill assume they are correct
What did he he say that was incorrect?
Outside of the average to good offense statement , i have no issues with what he said.

Tell them we’ve lost before with multiple top 10 defenses. However, we haven’t lost this year with our top ranked offense! The best defense is our offense!

that is very true...keeping it objective not subjective.

It's true.
When you are beating the other teams arse by multiple scores they will throw the ball a ton to try and get back in the game.
I won't entertain the Vandy game comment, because they had 2 defensive TDs and it was probably the worst game we played all year.
However, let's look at the QBs for the teams referenced:
Texas: Ehlinger threw the ball 47 times compared to his average of 36 attempts
Florida: Trask had 39 attempts (most in a game and well above his 31 attempts/game)
Bama: Tua had 40 attempts (most all season and well above his 29/game)
The take home message, LSU's offense puts pressure on the other team to the point where they have to pass the ball significantly more than they like. If you look at Ohio State, they're best wins are Wiscy and Mich St. neither of which have anything resembling a passing game. The best passing offenses they've faced are Indiana and FAU. (This isn't a joke. These are the two best passing offenses that Ohio St. has played.)
Ohio State relies heavily on it's running game. Fields is only throwing about 23 passes a game. If they line up against LSU, fields will probably have to pass 40 times, which would completely throw them off what they want to do offensively.
In reality, I think LSU matches up with them quite nicely. And I'll take Burrow against his former team every day of the week.

Y’all can brag all you want about how few passing yards you’ve given up, but keep in mind who you’ve played versus our schedule and level of competition.
Like I posted earlier, 89 less pass attempts against.

He’s not wrong about the defense.
The difference is we have the best offense in the country. There’s nobody that can go shot for shot.

For a top 20 defense in the county and a 9-0 record and a shot at the Natty... do you need more reasons??
Posted on 11/12/19 at 10:39 pm to Maverick14
Agreed as well. And one can argue that Ohio state has had huge leads to force their opponents to throw too; however, which conferences’ position players are more capable when comparing the big 10 vs the sec?

Much truth spoken here. Can't argue much of that.

Name one defensive coordinator (we could get) that’s better.

They also forgot to state that LSU has faced 4 top 10 teams already.

What’s the big deal? We’ve been saying for weeks now that our defense was average.

Anyways, here's to hoping we see them on Jan. 13. Playing OSU for the title in NOLA has worked out well so far...
This is the problem we need...
