Four All SEC on LSU’s offense and four on defense, that’s a well balanced team

The 2019 LSU football team appears to be the most balanced since 2011 which is the last time LSU had a legit Diline. What’s different than 2011 is that the real strength of LSU’s offense appears to be their QB and his passing targets. Sure LSU’s got 5 star talent at RB, but how much these freshmen will contribute is still very much unknown.

Hard to think of a more anticipated season than 2019 with LSU vs Texas, maybe the year Tommy Hodson and LSU matched up against Ohio St.in Tiger Stadium. I really feel LSU is finally ready to compete for the playoffs, these Tigers seem to have it all.

This team has nothing holding it back. The sky is the limit.

Got all the right positions filled with veterans. There's always a need for a bit of luck in championship runs. This has to be the year for a run.

There's a nice balance of solid veterans and explosive younger guys on this team. If the Joe Brady experience is as advertised, there's no reason that we can't be a playoff team.

No Chaisson either, he’s a legit threat to retire an opponent’s QB at any time.

All SEC

By the end of this season these teams will be looking a whole lot different. Our entire oline is back except 1 person. And the returning players have a lot of experience. Plus a couple of very good freshmen. This will be LSU's best oline in a long time. And with Brady's input this offense will be difficult to prepare for. The offensive players must read the defenses the same and apply the same concepts on each play. If they play together, as one, one heartbeat, make the same reads, apply the same concepts each play, they will be unstoppable. Will be the most unpredictable offense LSU has had in a long, long time. And the defense, well, what can one say, getting an All-American pass rusher back with a veteran team and some very good freshmen, oh my Lord!!!

Hard to believe a player of K'Lavon's ability is overlooked. I will say right now he will be the defensive star of this team this year.

This is why the Texas game is so important. this team has loads of potential, they just need to feel invincible.

You can say this may be the best Dline LSU has had since 2011 but you'll have to qualify what you mean by "legit". I take that to mean, essentially, something like very good to exceptional. As such, I think you just have to look at the 2011 and 2012 rosters to question that statement.
2011 D-line player who were also on the 2012 team.

Anthony Johnson
Barkevious Mingo
Bennie Logan
Chancey Aghayere
Dennis Johnson
Ego Ferguson
Jeremy Peeples
Jermauria Rasco
Jordan Allen
Josh Downs
Justin Maclin
Lavar Edwards
Mickey Johnson
Quentin Thomas
Sam Montgomery

We lost

Kendrick Adams
Michael Brockers

We added

A'Trey-U Jones
Danielle Hunter

You probably could make a case for several D-lines rosters to have been "legit" since 2011. By any measure, 2012 D-line was definitely "legit".

Probably a better statement would have been that this has the potential to be the best dline since 2011. I'd say this has the potential to be the best defense LSU has had since 2011.

This 2019 Dline has NFL prospects just like 2011 team, overall it could be the best.

Agreed. Barring a plethora of injuries, there really is no excuse that this team doesn't make it to the postseason. Hoping it isn't a waste like 2005-2006.

LSU besting Texas isn’t good enough, I certainly don’t want to see Texas hang close in this game due a comedy of mistakes by the Tigers. LSU needs come ready to dominate college football.
