The greater point here is how he chose to display leadership, including end of UF game. 3.3 YPC and an utter lack of giveadamn when the game was on the line against UF.

What in the actual frick are you talking about? He played injured after being ruled out of the game and then was pulled because he was too hurt to be effective. In what universe is that akin to not giving a damn? What exactly is he supposed to do to satisfy you? He could have easily just sat his arse on the sideline all year or just totally mailed in the entire year (see: Clowney), but he didn't. He hasn't been 100% at any point this year but has still played and fought his hardest when he's been cleared to play. You are the embodiment of the absolute worst of our fan base. Congratulations

Man some of y'all freak out about the smallest things. The other players are competent human beings that can play well with or without Fournette on the sidelines.

No one is freaking out, champ. Just an observation.

Some (many)in this fan base are embarrassingly sensitive. Realize that you can be objective, critical, and supportive at the same time...assuming you choose to act like an adult.

A diva would be someone that bitches because they haven't gotten their way. Like if Fournette would have blamed Les Miles for not winning any titles with our offensive woes the past few years (or if he criticized the O-line for getting manhandled against Bama two years in a row). He has never done that. He has always been a positive person. He has played hurt numerous times and not really complained. He has cheered for Guice and the other RBs behind him. Miles called him a humble man and a great teammate.

He pushed a coach back in a scuffle last week. He should not have done that. It was immature and out of character for him. But during scuffles, emotions run high and he was probably already upset about not playing in the game until he changed his mind and tried to do so.

Fournette has had an ankle injury for several games yet he has played. That means his ankle injury was not enough to keep him from playing. I am getting the feeling that his interest in playing at LSU is over and he's now thinking about the NFL.

An ankle injury is a bitch of a bitch. I think he came back too early and hurt it again. That shite can become chronic if he pushes it. Rest it and rep LSU in the NFL. LSU is fine.

ETA. I do think he should make the trip though.

It's more newsworthy if he actually MADE the trip. It's not like he would play anyway.

Had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. Amazing how many internet coaches we have that know nothing

He's hurt and has been hurt. The guy has given his all to LSU. No reason to jeapordize his future on a game that means little more than bragging rights for LSU.

With a high ankle sprain among other injuries, I am not sure he should have seen the field this year at all. He should have been rehabbing. Also, it should have been the coaches call whether he took the field last week and not the player's. Long story short, thank him for his time at LSU and let the guy heal.

He was money after he came back until he reinjured it. He should have sat after he reinjured it.

Fournette's transformation from team leader to diva has really been something to behold.

Idk about diva, but he has always liked attention.

I get not playing, but not traveling with the team I don't understand. Either he's already had surgery or is skipping for some turkey and dressing... it's a toss up!

He did all he could in BOTH games. His ankle got rolled AGAIN in the Arly game and it was a blow out. So he can do whatever he wants on the sideline if you ask me.

But people make up their minds how a players has checked out. If they seem happy they don't care if they seem unhappy they pour. FWIW I don't think a single person on that team though we would lose that game till Guice got stuffed. If LF7 could play no way he doesn't get a carry on the goal line.
