“Biggest play of game was not the 1 second being added to the clock it was the non call for this illegal formation on that same play! Unbelievable”

I know that he is on the LSU CST postgame show but he went to Nebraska. He is not a homer/former Tiger complaining about a bad call.

While it does not make up for tonight, LSU has laid bare the utter corruption of SEC officiating.

Why is that illegal. I thought there was a minimum on the line, but no max, hence the reason punt formation is legal... (full disclosure I may have always been wrong in my thinking)

7 is the minimum. There's only 5 on the line

All four WRs are clearly a full yard or more behind the LOS.

The receivers are borderline on/off the ball. The camera angle and my LSU bias made me scream 6 in the backfield. But even the RT looks off the ball. LOS looks close to the 18

You can’t have 2 receivers on the line on the same side, for one. If they are all considered off the ball then they don’t have enough on the line. Either way=illegal formation.

They should have been an automatic run off on that because they weren't set when he grounded it with a second left. These refs sucked donkey balls in giving this game to AtM! This game shouldn't have never gone that far, they also didn't replay that catch on 4th down that gave them a 1st down to keep that last drive alive in regulation. It appeared to me that he caught it just short of the first down. Just so much garbage that they allowed to happen in this game.

Yeah you can. One would just be ineligible to catch a pass or be downfield.

And they weren’t set at all much less the 1 second requirement by ncaa rule which has stated that you cannot spike the balk with 3 seconds or less because a team must be set for at least one second before snapping the ball.
