The title says it all "former scout". If he was good, he wouldn't be former, he'd be current. The former scout has the learning problem, not #17.
This is horrible logic. Skip Bertman is a "former" coach. Does that mean he wasn't any good?

ETA: You do realize that the "former scout" was actually coming to Claiborne's defense, right?

What was his ACT? Obviously good enough to get into college. For all we know he just filled in all A's on the wonderlic. I doubt it has much to do with actual intelligence

Are you serious?

Absolutely! Was he asked the sort of questions that would gauge his intelligence? Many of history's reknowned geniuses were very inarticulate, while many of the most glib people you will meet are average or below average in intelligence. Too many people are easily impressed with folks who have the gift of gab, and I guess that explains why we keep electing so many bad politicians to represent us.

I'm not familiar with these two tests, but vocabulary is largely a function of environment, though not completely. I would expect someone who grew up a child of privilege, whose parents were highly educated (eg. English professor, physician, etc.) to have a greater vocabulary than someone who grew up in a broken home on the wrong side of the tracks, just by osmosis.

Short memory is always needed as a DB in the NFL. Helps you get past Brees burning one over your head for 6.

If he had a diagnosed learning disability in high school, he probably took the ACT untimed. The Wonderlic is 50 questions in 12 minutes. Big difference.

If he has a learning disability he may have learned to compensate in other ways. He may have better than average intelligence and uses it to overcome the disability. I also noticed that in the clips he is polite and attentive. Tigers everywhere should be very proud of Mo.

You'd be wrong. The vocabularies would likely be very, very different. But the quantity of the vocabulary varies quite little with environment.

Whether those two particular tests (I'm not specifically familiar with them, either) accurately measure "nonstandard" vocabularies, I don't know. But if they do, it would be a pretty reliable measure for the forms of intelligence most people associate with "intelligent" people.

i took a sample test online gave each question some thought got a shitty score only got threw x amount of questions then took it again and just answered as many as possible as fast as i could without much thought score was much higher. I know its just a sample but if i were an agent my kids would not take this test. I don't see why its important that i know how to divide the profits from 4 investors with diff amounts of investments equally in seconds unless i was a running an illegal business that was being raided by the cops.

I took a class with Mo and and got an email to be a note taker for a student with a disability. I wanted to do it so i could schedule earlier. When I got the email from the lady about it, it was for Mo. Always wondered what he had
