We lost 5 out of 9? Including three in a row?

And now the intellectual dishonesty. You’re really hitting all the CheeeriO staples today Roger
FTR, that isn’t what my response was saying at all. It was talking about being “in contention” before Alabama.
But you know that. You just can’t help yourself. You have no other avenue. Until next thread, Rog.

Hey that's all that matters! Rankings! Offutt
Wins? Oft
It's all about losing to bama, but scoring!
When orgeron loses three in a row, badly, then starts the next season with two losses in the first 4, he will be fired too
No ones immune.

You think that’s it?
Decline from miles 2 years after he was fired?
People assumed O and E we’re going to be and they also though Miami, Auburn and Miss State we’re going to be much better.

Great year = NC
Extremely good year=SEC title
Very good year=top ten
We had a very good year and did better than most impartial observers and a lot of knowledgeable fans thought.
But it's fine to accept nothing but a great year as success, but that's hardly ever going to happen and you'll be miserable.

Wait wait wait. You tell us a story about 1 player that has a positive opinion about Orgeron and it's now gospel?
Booger McFarland is on record questioning Orgeron. So is Marcus Spears.
Do we not take their opinion into account?
Hannigriff believes this LSU offense will prosper in 2019, so does Jimmy Ott, so do all of the morning crew of former Tigers on 104.5 and current players and those who just graduated like Moreau and Von Rosenburg. So too the many former players who were at the casino. They don't buy into all the negative crap coming from Spears or MC Farland. The list is endless!

Both were wrong in their preseason pessimism. Sabanites btw

You think Miles was going to have a top ten team in two years? Many here didn't.

No.
NC=all time historic year
SEC Title=great year
Very good year=6-2 in conference play (assuming no OOC losses)
5-3 in the SEC is not a “very good year”. It just isn’t. Losing a quarter o your regular season games is pretty average.
Even if one of the losses had some bad calls. Especially if one of the losses is an absolute thrashing.
Even if the rest of the CFB world is just as mediocre and you happen to rise to the top of that to land in the top 10.
This was a good season. Other than the Alabama game we were in every game, and had a nice bowl win to help build momentum for next year. That’s good. Not great.
It may have been surprising to some, but that doesnt mean it was “great”.
It was absolutely progress and improvement over 2017, though, which is worth giving the staff to see if they can improve again next year.

I sure As frick didn’t think he’d have a 6-6 team. Which is the point.
Pretending the preseason predictions didn’t have a lot to do with O and E is pretty crazy. I mean I am Not an O fan but I never Thought he’l was going to full on tank the program.
Realistically our Defense played at a top 10 level putside 2 games (which we lost) and our kicker was nails. That’s and Auburn, Miami and Miss State underperforming is why we far exceeded expectations that we’re insultingly low.

Honestly I only Care about ranking when there is a trophy involved.
I’ll take 2007 over 2011 because we won an NC
But I dont Think this team was so much better than other teams that have gone 10-3.
Including 2012 and 2013.
Best years - NCs
Great year - championships or 1 loss
Good year - 11-2
Average use 10-3
Less than average 9-4
Bad 8-5 and under.
Rememebr we averaged 10-3 over the course of a decade. I don Think calling it average is too far a stretch.

again subjective....you see it that way others don't.
It's not hard to understand.
I'm sure you thought we were trending up that September as well right?

Eh
I‘ll Take Aranda today but Chavis has some serious defenses. He’s just old now, and doesn’t work as hard.
But when Cooper was here it was , Les, Jimbo and Pellini. And that’s pretty fricking good.
Saban’s staff when he was here is like half the SEC’s HCs now.
Muschamp- USC
Jimbo- Texas A&M
Kirby Smart - UGA
Dooley- Tenn now OC at Missouri
And the rest of his staff was just stacked with guys who have coached in the NFL.

Miles offense in 2018 loses to Fla, Aub, Aggies, Alabama, and Miss St. Ok, so they don't lose six. You made your point.
