based on six passes. Really?
I have watched him play on TV before in a couple of HS games, plus I have heard from people who have seen him in practice. The 2 games he has thrown in have only further proved that. 1-7.

What don't you understand about "He does not know the playbook!!!!"
When he's under center we're limited to about 15 plays!!! you fricking non-football knowing fricks can't see that.. to yall it's just, drop back... throw...
Its not that simple!!!

If any of you think lee will eventually "get it" and become a championship caliber qb your in four a loooong 3 plus years.......
I'm trying to think of another rs freshman in ncaa history who loved to watch the other team score and I just can't

considering the fact that you probably boo'ed the shite out of him and he still came back and played lights out in the 2nd half.

and I watched Jefferson in high school. With al due respect, I never thought that highly of him.
OK, that's what I was looking for. At least you have some basis other than 6 passes in this one game. Some of the other comments I've read haven't really said anything substantial one way or the other.

Lee has shown enough bright spots to show that he will be a good QB as he ages.
I think it is possible, but hardly a certainty. I always thought Jamie Howard had these same qualities and he seemed to regress every year he was here.

And when Sheppard comes in, he becomes a better "change of pace" QB. He is actually a threat as a runner.
I thought Jefferson was supposed to be a good runner?

the majority of the pick 6's thrown are not his fault. obviously, it's his fault if he throws an INT, but really, how much can you blame him?
he made shitty throws of course, but the offense has to be able to fricking tackle once in awhile. I don't see why people don't realize this. it's a young QB, and he's going to make mistakes. the offense has to be able to tackle. a 50 + INT return for a TD on the sidelines in the LSU-Bama game only further highlights this fact.

people dont understand that jj is a throw first qb...hes not even a running style qb he didnt do it in highschool why would the coaches think he can do it now...bad evaluation of talent right there

Yeah, you cant base anything of 7 passes.
And Im not saying he is going to be a bad QB. I just think it will be a Russell/Flynn type of thing. It's not like Flynn was a bad QB, he just couldnt get a shot because JR was the man.

Lee seems smart. He is a coaches kid, which i like. He's going to work his arse off, and as he ages, he will come into his own. I truly believe that.

He's not a bad runner, but I think he is a better passer than runner.
He's a better runner than Lee. He's not as good of a runner as Sheppard.
He's not Vince Young, either.
I think they are just running him a lot now because they want him to emulate Hatch's role. But as shown tonight, he really isnt anything special running the ball.

NO, he is fast, but speed does not a great runner make

He can't help that the other team returns his INT's for TD's.
It's purely coincidental, save 1 or 2 of the INT's he's thrown.

dude, really? This is the BigXII we're talking about, the "no defense" conference, while we play in the SEC, the conference that is known for badass defenses and mediocre offenses

Sam Bradford was a freak, and is already being projected as a 1st round draft pick at the end of his RS Soph season.
Not all freshman QBs can do this. Actually, none aside from McCoy and Bradford. And this is in the best defensive conference in the nation, the SEC. It's hard for me to think of the last freshman QB to have real success in the SEC. I have to go back 5 years to Chris Leak, and he wasn't even that great.

no he didn't.
