re: For those upset about STTDB chant, help come up with something new

The student should move on from that chant on their own. If they want to keep up with sttdb chant, maybe let the student section pay full ticket price like everyone else. They are selfishly bringing it down for the paying customers that want to bring family to the game. The school doesn't really need to go that far, they can just pipe in Music whenever the chant starts.

Is there a trashier chant in college football?

It’s been like 15 years now this has been around. I hate it break it to some of you that it’s not going anywhere. Students, and many other fans, come in to games ready and excited to chant such things.

The mistake was by the administration back then. It originally started with the “Oweo you suck” chants which had “cocks” added on the end specifically for South Carolina, then stuck. As the admin kept trying to censor people from saying things, it led to STTDB which they repeated the same mistake with. By trying to silence students and the fans, they fanned the flames and just perpetuated its growth. Now it’s just a thing that’s there and not going away any time soon.
