Gosling would be a good coach imo
He's driven unlike our current coach that is complacent. He wasn't driven enough to have the team prepared on 1/9/12 where he would have automatically been given a pay raise. Instead he lost embarrassingly that day and then pulled bullshite to get a $500,000 year raise.

when was the last time LSU improved as the year went on?

AS others have mentioned, Kingsbury, Chip Kelly, Charlie Strong, Jimbo Fisher, James Franklin, Al Golden , Gus Malzahn or even Hugh Freeze who in my opinion has done a whole lot more with less.

I fully understand that. But this season was a wash anyway, wasn't it? I'd bet you were one of the fans taking that position. I take these losses in stride and know that LSU will recover and have success in the SEC Western Division and beyond. All this talk about the SEC being down this year is crap. You tell me that nearly all of the teams wouldn't do well against any other conference right now. The season is far from over.

Re-posting my comment that was on the bottom of last page...

Give me Tulane's coach. If he can possibly get them to a bowl game, he is almost a miracle worker. But seriously, Wittingham at Utah has done well consistently with very little...
I would like Les to learn from his mistakes (time management) or come up with a plan to help him deal with reoccurring issues. His record has been great, but he has lost three of his last four bowl games we seem to have trouble getting anyone to stay after their junior year (even if they ain't coming close to being in the first two rounds). That's causing issues for us now.

Absolutely.
But why the hell would LSU roll the dice on him? No head coaching experience. He could be Mike Archer all over again. At least with Miles, you have Cameron and Chavis and Wilson and Moffitt.

Give us a list of other teams where their starters aren't leaving early.

I don't know a whole lot of names of coordinators, so he was just the first to pop in to my head. He's learning from the best in the business, though.

Here is a hint, little Nicky ain't coming back.
That's what everyone needs to realize...we played like shite yesterday and lost, but to think we are going to find someone that is just going to come in and be undefeated is not going to happen. We are stuck with Miles, win or lose...

Name a coach who can put up 3 and 4 loss seasons given a program built up by Nick Saban? I'd say at least a quarter of the coaches in the NCAA.

I didn't say other teams weren't losing guys, I said it seems to be affecting us (and I think more than other teams).
The teams that finished in the top 10 last year lost a combined total of 22 non-seniors. LSU lost 11. LSU lost way more than any other team in the nation.
Oregon lost none - I'm not saying that's a realistic goal, but they're doing pretty well. Also, Bama managed to only lose three guys and AJ came back for his senior year. That has helped them.
