Palmer was a stud before he got hurt and should Dorsey, Jackson, Spears have scared teams off from taking Mingo?

Maybe the NFL is learning their lessons on these over hyped USC QB's who play poo competition all year to stack up their numbers
Barkley played the same competion as Luck. Don't be an SEC tard.

Barkley didn't fall, Barkley was artificially inflated by the media. He'll get drafted right where he should have.
I seriously doubt he would have fallen to the 4th round if he came out last year.

He would've been exposed at the Combine and workouts just like he was this year.
Maybe to some degree, but his stock still would've been so much higher last year.

That's stupid. Putting up stats doesn't mean your arm strength is any better. He would've been exposed at the Combine and workouts just like he was this year.
They were bringing up the arm thing even before he went to the combine this year. Him winning and managing games was a plus for him his junior year and there were some real needy teams in 2012. They'd overlook the arm strength if he was a winner and people would have done the same for Geno this year too but playing like he did and losing all those games down the stretch really hurt him also.

He wasn't exposed, no one needed a pro style QB, last year he goes first rd, def before Weeden

problem with USC QB's with the exception of palmer is that they have some of the best talent around them on the field when they play and that helps to mask some potential problems. except for a few teams they play they are by far the superior in talent and production.
In the NFL except for a few teams most have very talented guys on defense that can match up with the offensive skill guys thus making the QB have to do more in the NFL than in college.
look at the succesful QB's in NFL right now. Some were on teams with alot of great skill players but most of them played on teams with good but not great playmakers.
drew brees-------purdue
tom brady--------michigan
payton-----------tennessee
eli--------------ole miss
rivers-----------NC State
ryan-------------Boston College
cutler-----------vanderbuilt
wilson-----------NC State/Wisc
RGIII------------baylor
big ben----------Miami Ohio
what do most of these QB's have in common can you name the RB and WR from the college teams they played on without google.
USC had bush/white/williams/mcknight/and so on and so on not to mention they have had tons of talent on defense when all these QB's were at USC.
Palmer had good teammates but he had to work for what his teams did the others could somewhat slack and the other offensive skill players would get the job done.
Now all the USC QB's were outstanding in college but they just don't transfer that to the NFL.

Argument doesn't work. Barkley would have been a 1 last year.
Faulk and Simon weren't going to be 1s.
Yes injuries happen but you shouldn't live life fearing the worst.
Get a degree and play your final year.
If u get hurt, at least you have a degree.

not for Peyton Manning because he last played college in 1997
But he was something like 34-6 in college, Tennessee was always ranked in the top 5 and had more guys drafted than just him.

that's not the point. the point is, coming back to college does not guarantee you improve your stock, you can just as easily drop as Barkley did.

Or you could come out, get paid and if that doesn't work out, go back and finish your degree.

Yes, there are no guarantee's that if you stay that senior year in college football things will work out better for you as a player, but I believe college football is really about love of the game. I'm happy to see guy's finish out their career at LSU and get the degree. Pro ball seems to be all about the money. And sadly many end up broke after pro ball with out an education to fall back on. I hope all LSU players are successful if they leave school early but glad to see them play their last year out.

None of them should have stayed. They made a decision that has nothing to do with us.
The only people that freaked out ab it, were miles haters. They just wanted more ammo for a fight they will never win.
forget barkley. No one wanted reid to come out. He would have lost soo much money staying. If you are willing to make up his salary this season for him to stay at lsu, go ahead. Problem is, none of you losers would.

Or finish your degree overtime while you're cashing NFL paychecks. Do you know what some of these guys even majored in?
