I HATE BAMA. Pull for em or not, it looks as though they will whip anyones arse right now and that SUCKS.
I do find it a silver lining in the past few years and present that the champ comes from teh SEC! That alone is what kept us ranked so high with no offense.

How does pulling for UT help LSU? We recruit more in Texas than in Bama and we want the SEC to keep it's image as the best conference in the country.

But Alabama recruits more in La than Texas does. That's the bigger concern, especially when you consider that Bama's coach um, used to recruit La for LSU.
We don't really recruit the same guys in Texas that Texas does. They sign the true Texas guys early. We are really recruiting against A&M, OU and other out of state programs and BTW Bama recruits some in Texas too. Beating Texas won't hurt them over here.

That will not change if Texas were to beat Alabama. Last year Bama got pounded by Utah, that didn't hurt Alabama's image let alone the SEC's. Our winning in 2003 didn't help Auburn, its so stupid to think an SEC team winning the NC helps other SEC teams. The Big 12 sucks and are playing in the NC game for the 5th time in 7 years.

I live in Tuscaloosa, attended the LSU/Alabama game this year, heard the laughter and jeers as our players lay on the field hurt, endured the cursing at me and my 13 year old son. I don't give a crap if it hurts or helps the SEC, I will never pull for the Gumps. I'd sooner pull for USC ( Southern California) In a NC game or any game for that matter. Their fans are the most arrogant and obnoxious I have been asociated with, Geaux to HELL BAMA!!!!!!!

We really need to pull for the SEC to win the NC
because it brings big money to each school in the winning conference not just to the NC winner.
When LSU & Florida won twice this decade each of our 12 schools, got a big paycheck...Enough to buy out Miles contract even..........
