I'd say this is true to a certain extent. You saw this very phenomenon with Les, who actually accomplished big things in his first 3 years here. Yet, a small, vocal segment of the fanbase hated him for every second he was here.

The vast majority of people who are labeled as "haters" simply want O to prove he is the guy for the job before we start throwing a parade for him. A couple of big wins in the first 7 games of a 12 game season is obviously VERY encouraging but really doesn't mean much if there isn't an indication that the program is moving in the right direction when the season is over and the dust settles. We shall see.

Boy you can't wait to criticize CEO. Looking at your past posts until he wins the Sec championship you look at him as a failure. In essence, you have just declared most of the head coaches in the SEC as failures. By the way he beat last year's SEC championship coach.

So you're saying if we beat Bama, lose to A&M and end up 10-2 in the regular season with a bowl win to finish 11-2, "people" will be calling for his head? Yeah that is a massive load of bullshite

Even though I completely disagree with you, you seem sensible enough, so i have to ask:

So you’re saying, that if LSU beats bama, but then loses to A&M, that people WON’T be calling for his head? Come on man, you should know better than that

See my above post re: Les' time here and small, vocal segments of the fanbase that are never happy. I concede that there are dipshits who can never be happy no matter what. But I'm not going to sit here and act like there would be a widespread push to fire O in that given scenario. Most people, myself included, just want to see that we are headed in the direction of being a national player again. Progress. I think beating Bama, losing to A&M and ending up 11-2 with a solid bowl win would clearly show that we are doing just that.

To be fair, Orgeron isn't scheming on either side of the ball. He's completely reliant on both of his coordinators for that. He can only control the big picture which means he (a) MUST make sure the whole team is focused coming off a huge win in a game they dominated and (b) has to make the critical in game decisions judging the flow of the game -- i.e. when to be aggressive and go for it on fourth down or when to punt/kick FG; when to try a trick play (if applicable)

Fair enough, but I still think that you would see a very large portion of idiots who would want him gone

It’s the same people who haven’t posted since august, excluding the Florida weekend

I always see people reference this purported group of people that never post unless we lose and I never have any clue of which posters they're referring to. Who are some of these posters that have not posted since August but for after the UF game?

I thought the real test was pummeling the #2 team in the country.

Everyone expected that LSU would give UGA all they could handle, but few actually expected a win. When LSU is able to play the "us against the world" narrative, that's right in O's wheelhouse.

The thing is to win championships, you actually have to win a lot of games where the world is on your side and expecting you to. You know how you guys hate it when Gameday is all on LSU? Well winning in those situations has to become the norm.

So no measure or credit for last week?

Who isn't giving o credit for last weeks impressive win? I haven't seen any posts so far this past week where o hasn't received the praise and credit that he deserves after the Georgia game.

I would normally be worried about a game like this. But with the way State took us to the shed last year, I think we play with a lot of energy tomorrow night and blow the doors off of them. I just hope Fehoko isn't totally out or hamstrung.

So I was in town all week and had a few drinks at Zippys on Monday while eating a burrito.

The bartender was telling me his roommate works for football ops.

He said every TV in the football ops buildings and football practice facilities had the MSU/LSU game from last year replaying on a loop and that would continue all week.

Loved hearing that

Someone posts this same thing before every game.

And you’re all correct.

If we finish 10-2 with wins over UGA, Bama, Miami, and Auburn and somebody on here thinks he should be fired, then they should get a lifetime ban.

And I am firmly in the Orgeron doubter camp.

What do you mean "people?" Like a few loudmouths?

If you're waiting for the moment when no one ever flips out after a loss, then you'll be waiting forever because that won't ever happen.

Do tell, how was the Florida game a screw-up? They got beat by a better team that day. It happens. Other teams have good players and coaches and try just as hard. Do you really think O has to win every game? If that's the case, just go ahead and admit that you'll never accept him as the head coach.

The great coaches get their teams up for every game, no matter the opponent that week or prior or future weeks.

When did Saban start winning every game? Or Bryant or whoever else you care to name? Is it just maybe possible that some of their rare losses are because the other teams want it more?

The fact that you truly believe this proves that you've never listened to a word the 'negatigers' have been saying for the past 2 years.

There are some who have specifically stated they hate Orgeron, and it does apply to them.

they didn't like the hire, will never accept him as HC. I don't think that describes most of you though.
