Did you feel the same way when Miles was HC?

If so, link an old post here of you defending Miles from people calling him a retard and saying he was the only thing keeping LSU from championships.

If you can provide evidence of that consistent position, then carry on. If not, you will continue to be roasted and trolled and called out as a CheeriO because that is all that you are.

Many of us said for years that the negativity and personal attacks were hurting the program, and were called pumpers and Miles lovers.

Now you idiots want to blame Miles for some BS "rebuild" and yet chastise anyone calling O out for being in over his head because that will hurt the program further. So do you own your part for hampering Miles' efforts since 2012???

The difference in us defending Miles was that there was actual evidence he was a good coach and program manager. He was 74-17 after The Rematch with an NC and 2 SEC titles in seven years and you idiots wanted him run out of BR.

What does O have on his resume to prove he can get this thing back on track?? But now we're the assholes for not blindly disregarding all of the signs that point to this being an impending disaster with no one at the wheel that can prevent it.

Here's to you Rant, we're all in the shite now

Fans bitching don't hurt the program. Inept coaches hurt the program.

Did Miles's team quit 3 games into his tenure?

ETA: I love that this gets downvoted twice in 5 minutes. It's amazing that we ran Miles off for being mediocre and are just supposed to accept what O has given us.

Miles was handed a Ferrari and his only job was to keep it clean and maintain it. He did good with his gift for awhile but ultimately crashed it and traded it in for a Ford Mustang. The Mustang was good enough for some LSU fans but not most. Les eventually wrecked again and the Mustang was damaged.

The damaged mustang was given to the likable Coach O who has a very bad driving record and is mechanically challenged. The Mustang motor died this last Saturday and Coach O has no idea how to fix it.

here's the thing - people got down on miles after the NC debacle. the real negativity didn't start till years later. we just saw the same old thing, the same old thing over 5 years. it got bad and negative and may have hurt the LSU image somewhat.

O hasn't had a track record at LSU. I know all about Ole Miss. maybe he will be a bust, but you just aren't giving him enough time.

it's your right to say whatever you want and raise as much hell as you want. actually, I don't think there are enough of you right now to tarnish LSU's image with negativity. just my opinion.

It's just crazy to me that we went from "any dumbass could win 10 games here" to we are full on rebuilding. All because of 1 game.

We were sold on him not needing time. The team quit. That's bad. If we lose, we lose, but O needs to look like he has a clue what he is doing.

The team quitting in the first conference game of teh season is telling me all I think I need to know.

Miles had stability (for the most part). O doesn't.

2012: 10-2
2013: 9-3
2014: 8-4
2015: 9-3

That is definitely not what any of us hope for at LSU.

Is it fire the guy he is retarded level stuff?? Nah.

And as for "the real" negativity not starring till years later, I'm gonna go ahead and call bullshite.

"The real" negativity started in 08, and boiled over through 09 and into 2010.

We heard Miles was retarded, only won with Saban's players, would never beat Saban or Meyer again etc.

Then Miles put together the best four year stretch in school history and had the best season ever from 2010-2013.

44-9 in four years after being called a retard that would never win a championship again.

That's why some of us gave him the benefit of the doubt while putting up one 8-4 season and a couple of 9-3 years.

yes, we were so stable we were going to win about 4.5 sec games every year. He had done better than that but a 6 win SEC season was going to be a real anomaly. forget competing for championships.

if you believe that O didn't have work cut out for him you are denying the facts. O just is not responsible for the lack of o and d lineman. he just isn't. if he doesn't get some in next few years then he will be responsible.

we could've had a helluva year if we were fabulously lucky with not losing any of our star players. we're not just getting injuries, etc, - it's our best players.

and how many receivers were developed the last couple of years? is that o's fault too?

This is just an absurd level of excuse making that you never would have done for Miles. O has done nothing to earn this.

Miles was fired (deservedly so) because he went 15-11 in the SEC (10-10) against the West) his last 3+ years.

Overall win totals propped up with cupcakes don't mean a whole lot.

I'm not even disagreeing that there was work to be done on the lines.

But does O not have ANY responsibility for the waves of attrition the OL suffered since he took over as HC?

Not bashing here, just honestly trying to understand the thinking there
