maybe he could maybe throw somewhat accurate deep balls

2-3 of the passes on the sideline routes hit Byrd in the hands. His first touchdown pass in the Auburn game was accurate (a 38 yarder in the air) and he stood in to take the hit.

Perfection is pretty easy to demand of others.

If the WRs catch the deep balls that hit them in the hands v USCe, no one is talking about Lee needing to throw deep more.

I just wish he could throw the short out pass without looking that way the whole time.

I think it was the Florida game in which Lee made a very nice qb move. He looked right the whole time the play developed and at the last moment went to the endzone. That was a great qb play.

The pick sixes will slow as he learns to read defenders better. It is his first time against those folks.

I don't hate Jarrett Lee. What I do hate is his "pick 6" in which he throws ints for TD's or the player is stopped on the 5 and the team then score 6. App State, Auburn, Florida, South Carolina same story, different game.

Rantards, prove me wrong and use something other than his grade in school.

Lee in alot of ways is like jamarcus russell the big arm with the big mistake in the big game...but im a fan of jarrett and he will pull through it....already a big win on the road the auburn in which the second half he was great.... and bad loss .... and another sec win on the road at south carolina it wasnt pretty but a dub is a dub

would you morons quit saying that, were you watching the game.
everyone keeps bringing up the one throw to byrd that was defended to perfection.
it was a great throw and a great defensive play, it would have been an incredibly hard catch to hang on to the way the defensive player ripped it out.

he still is a very inaccurate short thrower, but throwing deep with our talent at reciever should be easy and should be done more, by the coaches.
Lee is probably doing what he is being told to do and is afraid to make mistakes.

they just need to let him air it out and let our superior recievers do the work for him.
If someone wants to single coverage our deep routes the whole game, we should throw it every time until they stop, then we can rush for 300 yards a game again when they quit stacking the box.

Don't give me that shite. If you are a receiver and get your hands on the ball, you catch the damned ball. Period. But...but...but...

And there were multiple drops.

I think most Tiger fans like Lee's future. Very few "haters".

Well, some people take a "wait and see" attitude as hating. This thread was started because a few people had the gaul to heap kudos on Flynn, and it hurt some feelings obviously. Lee will be fine, but I am not going to make the "all SEC" claim until I see him next season. Not fair to make a judgement this year.

The good news for Lee is he has improved every single week.

Actually, in my view he has not and this is what concerns me. Lee's best football was played in the second half against Auburn. He was awesome. He started very poorly against Florida and played decently in the second half when it was too late. He played borderline poorly in the first half against South Carolina and played adequately in the second half.

Thus, he doesn't strike me as someone improving. He strikes me as a player with a tremendous amount of talent but poor mechanics and someone who can get really hot than turn ice cold.

I've been a little negative on Lee in part because I think he could be a real player and he's making mental errors. I know, I know. Redshirt freshman. It doesn't change the fact that he's the most important player on a team with championship talent and he's one of the two reasons (the other being pass defense) why we'll be lucky to go 9-3 and play in the Cotton Bowl.

the only way he would have caught it is if he can see the future and be ready for him to rip one arm as he is catching the football

This is never mentioned.. Here goes:

Lee RS Freshman vs RS Fresh Mauck and RS Fresh Flynn .... No comparison.

JR as a RS Fresh was horrible in the first 6 games too.

He threw a perfect deep ball in the Auburn game, our 1st TD, on 3rd and 10 no less. That was probably the biggest play of our season so far.

He threw 2 AWESOME deep balls against SC. 1 was right in Byrd's hands, but the defender made a nice play. The other was a catch by Byrd that set up our go ahead TD.

If you paid attention, you would know that Lee has NEVER thrown more pick 6s than TDs in a big game, as you claimed.

Nice try. It's obvious you will never think he is as good as he really is when you say things like that.
