You should try getting a properly fitted suit. There’s nothing at all uncomfortable about that. It’s really no different than a golf shirt and shorts if it fits.

I have a tailored suit. It fits very well.

Shorts and a tshirt will still always be more comfortable.

Yes. Coats and ties until 73 or 74

About right, although fraternities and sororities still dress up at a lot of SEC games. It's always been a thing in the South, especially at Ole Miss, Alabama and Auburn. Florida, not so much or Tennessee that I recall. Mostly the Deep South schools.

Go back to the early early years of football, college was way bigger than the pros. They were dressed to nines back then as they say.

If you want to wear a dress to the game I guess that’s your call.

were pretty poor but I remember my dad wearing a sport coat and mom a dress.

Was this common at the time?

Yes…LSU games used to be a pretty formal affair. When I graduated in the mid ‘90s we were still wearing business casual attire to the games.

Nowadays due to the multiple day games and also the game length, it is too hot to wear anything dressy!

We still dress decent for games… Preference is jeans boots and a polo/qtr zip

Girls still wear dresses to games all the time. I don’t know why any guy would want to wear a sports coat to a game. That sounds miserable.

You see girls dressed like they're going to a cocktail party and their dates looking like they're on their way to a frog gigging in Gueydan. You got a girl to go on a date with you. That's not a given in this day and age. Put a little effort into it. You don't have to wear a coat and tie, but something that doesn't look like it came from the clearance rack at Baws R Us.

Amen, the world was better when gentlemen wore hats, ball caps were players and children
