Anybody know if food & drinks weren't permitted in the old Alex Box and it was a rule that they just didn't enforce. The "new" rules say no backpacks, no food or drinks brought in the stadium. I always brought a backpack & water & snacks to every game at the Old Box...I am hoping this won't be a rule they enforce. Not cool at all!!

They need you to help pay for the stadium by buying products at the actual games.

The only rule I recall about the old Box was no glass containers and no alcohol. And I'm not completely sure about the alcohol "rule."

Honestly, I don't care about the alcohol part. I am more concerned about water. When it's super hot, buying $4 a bottle water, 3 or 4 times a game gets rediculous.

Same rules apply however I assume they will be enforced ( at the beginning ) If it is the same Marshals it will be only a matter of time before the rules are relaxed.

I cannot see them enforcing the "No Backpacks Rule." Too much stuff to bring in...Scorebook, pen, extra clothing and or rain gear. I always bring water and non salted peanuts. When it gets hot, I freeze a couple of bottles of water...the ice can be gone in the bottles by the fourth inning during regionals.

Now see, if you had upgraded to the grandstand (like I did) you wouldn't need rain gear.

definitely was a rule that wasn't enforced. I agree, they will likely be much more enforcing for the beginning of the season. Sorry, game 1, it will be cold. I will be bringing in a blanket and cold weather gear, likely with a water bottle in it if I think I need one.

i could be crazy, but to me it seems as though the roofing over the grandstands is a little too high to really protect from getting wet in a good rain....anyone else?
