Which QB and which RB was/is better at LSU? Give at least one reason as to why you picked who you picked.
why does it really matter?
just because someone has the opinion that flynn was better than russell or hester better than scott does not mean they are racists.
championships aside, history will show that russell and scott had better stats than flynn and hester.
if i was picking an all lsu team, i'd have a very hard time picking any qb over russell.
at rb, it would be hard to keep hester off the team but he wouldn't sniff playing time at rb unless the 7,8 guys ahead of him got hurt. Scott would probably be right behind Faulk.

because he feels the need to bait some redneck into an argument to call him a racist...it has nothing to do with football

quote:You mean by completely ignoring the post and making up a completely fictional post to attack? Wasn't that pretty much the plan all along? Get someone to say something complimentary about Hester and/or Flynn, then pretend that they bashed Scott and/or Russell, and then mock whatever "bash" you made up against your favorites? Or was this one of those threads designed to give you and your ilk another opportunity to needlessly bash and trash a couple of guys who busted their asses to help bring LSU another National Championship?
Stop it! YOU ARE BLOWING IT

I take Russell and split carries evenly between Scott and Hester.

Some of the absurd stuff people say about makes me though.
I honestly do wish the kid the best its just stupid the way some of this community has latched onto him.

quote:If you mean in the sense of, "we're publishing an all-time team for the fans, who gets on it?", then yeah, it would be hard to keep the workhorse of one of our three National Championships off the list. I'd expect to see about 7 RBs listed, obviously including Cannon, Alexander, Hilliard and Faulk (listing chronologically, not by merit), and then probably Hester, Vincent and the old guy from the 30s whose name is escaping me right now.

But in terms of actually choosing the best RBs ever, I don't know if Hester would be behind 7 or 8 guys, but he would definitely be behind Faulk, Cannon, Hilliard and Alexander (listed by merit that time, imo).

didn't JR have like 15 TDs/9 INTs that year? shite I'd have to take Flynn if we were going by Russell strictly on that year.
but, but Russell showed heart because he played through injury. The heart makes him a better QB.

You know when people on here try to compare heart, that's what is so puzzling. I think that's the main reason people have to put MF ahead of JR, even though they have no way of measuring it what so ever.

I know, I put an edit in there to clarify. It's just a general complaint I have.

I'll take Flynn, I just was never a JR fan. As for the running back Scott was unreal at the beggining of 08 but was slowed down at the end probably mostly because of the lack of pass threat. I would probably split carries Hester was money on short yardage.

Flynn/Hester's heart showed because they were less talented, maiing it appear more extraordinary when they did things that Russell and Scott do with talent. Russell led LSU to more comeback vistories than any QB I can think of, including doing it in BIG games on the road at Tenn & #2 Bama. I don't think you can really say that Flynn/Hester had more heart than JR/Scott.

Russell 05 beat ASU on the road, Bama on the road, UFat home, and could have won us the SEC if he hadn't got hurt.
